This is a lovely story. I watch a lot of Kevin Richardson vids and he has a warning for anyone donating to some organizations in South Africa and elsewhere. They "rescue and breed" these animals for canned hunting. They put the lions, tigers, whatever inside enclosures and "big white hunters" such as Little Donnie Douchbag can "hunt" the big animals for a huge fee. So do your research carefully before donating to organizations claiming to free animals.

D Ross it is very sad that they hunt the animals on the sanctuaries, but all of that huge fee is then spent raising more animals and saving more animals. So as hard as it is to see them suffer, in some cases rich jerks paying to kill one is often better for the species as a whole.

Controversial and straightup painful point ahead! You have been warned. Ducking seriously, though; save your souls, you don't need to know this. Actually trophy hunting provides a lot of money that governments use to fund wildlife reserves and sancuaries... Yeah, I know... It's downright awful and yes, I'd love it if there was another stable way to fund these institutions, but unless there's a radical change on a global scale, two statements will remain true: 1- There will always be a need for wildlife sanctuaries. 2- There'll be no shortage of immorally rich, irredeamable assholes creating a niche from which to suck funding. I should know, guys, I'm from Spain... Please, for your own good, don't look up what our former king was hunting in Africa when he had an accident more than a decade ago. Again, you've been warned. The world's not ducked up; people are. Edit: made the format more friendly for those who might want to skip this comment for their own psychological wellbeing.

I see animal circuses like a thing of the past. Humanity learns slowly, and while we had much bigger problems to resolve like slavery or bad medicine practices etc, those animal circuses should be on our list now. Relic of the foolish past, nothing more.
@SinewMinew4 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Sebastian How can you see animal circuses as a thing of the past?!! That’s what this video is about. Rescuing 60 animals from a circus in Guatemala. The title reads “Circus Lions Touch Grass For The First Time.” Circuses are, unfortunately, active and in abundance all across the world where people still profit off enslaving, abusing, starving, torturing & killing thousands of animals. You may want animal circuses to be “a relic,” to be a part of our history, but the sad truth is that they are an active part of our reality and will continue so long as people endorse them paying money to witness the spectacle thereby keeping them in business.
@jasonbry074 жыл бұрын
It took me a while to realize this. When B&B circuses got rid of the elephants I was critical of them. Then I adopted a pitbull who came from an abusive environment, and from there I saw this channel, and I realized how horrible it is for the animals. I get that as the human race grows in size, and we expand further and further, we need to find a way to coexist (ew, hate that word coexist due to the smug ass hats who put that bumper sticker on their hybrid) with animals, but using them for entertainment is not the way.

It's just his lip that's been pulled away from the jaw. The jawbone is fine. I've seen the same injury on dogs when they get their lip torn in a fight. It doesn't affect their health or eating at all. They could try to recut the lip and sew it back on to the jaw but it would be a big surgery and you can't make a lion wear a cone of shame! The tooth is a different issue - he had lots of tooth decay and disease after a lifetime of poor food and nothing to chew on to clean his teeth.
