I love the dude, and he treats his guys well, and quite honestly I’m sure most of us are jealous of the guy. But he only gets his hands as dirty as needed. Then again, in my world of live sound reinforcement, sometimes paying your dues means paying your dues. I’ve carried 1,000s of stage decks, and it gets old. They’re heavy as fuck, cumbersome as can be, tend to cut and break fingers and toes, ruin backs, and generally suck to move. If I’ve got to I do. But if I’m paying someone else to carry stage decks, I’m not carrying stage decks. Dennis has been pulling cars out of barns for at least 40 years. Personally I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off that hidden gem of a whatever car. But that’s just me. We have an old saying. “If you know how to operate it, you don’t have to tote it!”

Thanks for coming to our hometown, Wichita, KS. We recognized the garage immediately because I grew up a couple houses north. In fact, the big blue house you drug the Mustang by was my family’s home from 1972-2021. We never knew what was hidden in that crazy garage! Surely I saw it drive down the alley numerous times - but why would a young girl notice those things? 😉 We enjoy the show! The little Doo-Dah Diner you visited is certainly a gem that is very popular in our town, because that is a fun nick name for Wichita - Doo-Dah! We enjoy every episode, this one was super special tho!

I don't remember the Doo-Dah. I guess I'm a little before it's time (66 now). I remember when the Civic Center was being built, got run off from there many times lol. Douglas and West of the river was my stomping grounds. Lots of memories from there.

We pulled it up and down our rural road, came back and took the wheel off and heated the drum with a torch, pulled it up and down road again, came back and heated again, and a 3rd time pulling it down the road it finally came loose. And it was the left front too!
