A rescue team pulls a 14 ton truck that has been impaled by rocks back onto the road to be repaired. What's one thing you learned from this video?

Watch this programme from the uk with my wife . And we are both big fans of the show . Massive respect to all the rescuers . Who put their lives on the line to help others . Their skill in doing their jobs . Never ceases to amaze us . Merry Xmas to all of them . Hoping very much that Bjoerns arm has healed too .

Huge question! WHY they don't put salt on the road? That is criminal intent! Not salting the road in purpose of making money should be criminally charged. So many times main tow truck driver is saying : "Super, thanks god it's snowing so much, I will be making huge money today". "This is great for business". He publicly says such a thing and nobody even asked the question WHY NO ONE SALTED THOSE ROADS!

If you think National Geographic sits next to these guys all winter, and hopes for an episode to happen; they make things happen. Gigantic boulders don't just sit there beside the road, because this is 2020 and of course a trucker would've already struck them, countless seasons ago before National Geographic showed up, and they would have been removed years ago.

Good video, could have done without the fake fear and danger to make it more (oh my god) dramatic. Talk about the technical aspects of the recovery and people will find it interesting. Don't talk nonsense about being careful so it doesn't slip. And for all the safety "experts". If there wasn't room under the truck for a person then they wouldn't have been able to get under it to put the jacks there. When the video talked about slipping it didn't matter, the winch on the tow truck wouldn't have cared. Reality TV isn't reality; most things are staged and if they aren't staged they are over dramatised. Reality is all a lie.

At least it is not staged. But I agree on the "fear factor". Anyhow, it is less prominent in National Geographic, than "Ice Road Truckers" from US

In Norway there are rocks and boulders everywhere. 70% of the country is mountains and rocks. And I've actually done the exact same thing 😅 Except my car bounced right off again and didn't get stuck, but it could have.
@CostaWanti Жыл бұрын
This is literally every day in Norway. Especially trucks. The roads are just too slippery sometimes and also really narrow. The mountain passes are usually closed for months every winter.
