Yes! When Lee first picked him up and did his funny, yet loving voice, Milo looked like he was saying "WTH??" with his ears flopping out. Malinois' are such strong and competent dogs so that made me laugh, suspecting what he was thinking. He "got" Ĺee's vibe shortly thereafter and all was great! Sweet success! Lee IS the "dog (especially) whisperer". God bless his special connection and magic forever and always!

I was going to comment about this also; Lee always seems to beautifully match each dog’s energy during their 1st meeting. I thought his initial time meeting Joey was beyond amazing in this regard. Poor lonely Joey was so revved up by his presence and Lee was able to turn that around and calm him so quickly. When Joey’s intro video ended with him enjoying his chew stick in a comfy bed by the fire, surrounded by his Dad and new siblings, I was BAWLING! Same this time with Milo seamlessly joining the pack, despite the concerns around his vision. Actually, most of Lee’s intro dog videos leave me in a puddle of tears lol.

A grown man making baby sounds to a dog is beautiful thing to see. Never stop. I discovered your channel two days ago and I've soo so many of your videos. One thing I find common in all of videos is that when you bring a new dog home and introduce them to the pack, all your pack seems to be very patient and understanding with the new arrivals because they all know exactly how it is for the guy/girl. They've all been there, and they are giving space and respecting the boundaries of the new arrivals. Your dogs are awesome and you're doing awesome work.

My black lab had a degenerative eye disease and was completely blind by the age 5or 6 months. I had her nine years till she succumbed to cancer. She played fetch, helped me raise my kids and knew the layout of our house and my good friends house without any mishaps (except when we’d forget and leave a door shut or the dryer door open🤦🏻‍♀️). I could throw a tennis ball over my two story house and my blind cocker spaniel would race around the house to fetch it in the back yard then race back to drop it at my feet performing amazing zoomies all the way! My heart completely understands what you meant by "helped me raise my kids" and my eyes flooded with tears of remembrance. ❤💔❤. All of my 5 children learned to "sit up" being braced against the stomach of "Maggie's" patient presence. I'm sure you have so many memories of her as I do my loving and faithful Maggie. At 73, when I get to Heaven, there will be an unbelievable pack of pups, kitties, and all kinds of Creatures plus the hundreds of rescues to run over The Rainbow Bridge into my waiting arms!! The usual number both I and my parents have had was 4 dogs and 4 cats at any given time. That's a lot in 73 years and they were all loved as if they were the only one! The change in little Milo from when he came out in the rescue/ vets I'm not sure, but from that to how settled and confident he was at the end is just remarkable!! He's found his forever home with a bunch of other lovely very lucky dogs and also a fantastic man who loves them all!!! This is just amazing and beautiful!!

I imagine the day when all animals receive the respect & kindness they deserve. They offer so much and I personally have received more from my pets than any human. They've been my therapy, my love, my sanity.... It saddens me so much to know so many suffer and it goes unnoticed. There's absolutely no reason to euthanize such an awesome loving dog. These videos never get old! Each adoption is done so carefully. What I think is good for Milo is that he can see, though very little, what his surroundings are like before he loses his sight completely. Sweet boy!

I grew up with a blind pug. His favorite activity was chasing squirrels in the backyard, and he was a terror charging after them! Milo will be like a bat with his built-in radar. Plus, he's got a lot of pack buddies to be his wingmen if need be. Glad y'all found each other.

The Farm, in Australia, has a nearly blind/deaf dog, Miss Violet, who has successfully mapped the whole property and normally you have no idea she can barely see, runs with the pack, swims, etc.. Maggie, a Boxer, is deaf, and has learned signs, gets along well. Milo should thrive at your place. Being intelligent, you will have to include that in his training/participation. Very best wishes.

Hi Lee - thank you for giving Milo a chance. I did the same seven years ago with an abandoned Dalmatian puppy who had been blind from birth (confirmed by the vet). He has been looked after by my other dogs and the only difference is that, as he has no concept of danger, it is down to me to ensure the safety of his eyes for example rusty fencing, garden canes etc. He is happy, healthy and loved and I have no regrets whatsoever about taking him on. Milo will teach you so much. Best wishes to you and yours for 2023 and beyond. What you do is inspirational. 😊😊

He's found his forever home! The greatest home on earth. I will never understand why a death sentence is issued for absolutely nothing. My oldest is 16 and she has arthritis. But other than that, she has no other serious health issues. Occasionally she has potty accidents but to our family, being old is just a part of life. People can learn how to grow old gracefully from their dogs. Our vet says she's in the best hospice ever. Together we keep her happy, healthy and comfortable.

I melted when his head was on Lee's in the truck.💕 He is so right about paying attention to a dog's body language. Milo was amazingly immediately confident amongst the pack. He looks so happy both in the house and outside constantly wagging his tail. He has a beautiful temperment for a Belgian Malinois. Btw...you do not pronounce the "s" at the end of Malinois. The pack will be so helpful to Milo with his dismissing sight, and he will eventually depend on them more. So it's wonderful that he's bonding with them now. The Asher House Sanctuary is the perfect place for him!💖

I adopted a blind from birth Deerhead Chihuahua from a kill shelter. Everyone thought I was crazy, but now he is everyone's favorite lol. I named him Ray Ray after Ray Charles and you would almost never know he is blind. I love him so much! Thank you for all you do ❤️

We have a blind dog,absolutely amazing insight into a dogs ability. A bell so they know exactly where you are,is the best thing going. And don’t move anything… And keep everything in same place for him,food water etc

My rescued Bichon is blind in one eye! When I give him special treats he sometimes has a minute to locate it…the nose takes over! His heart condition and age doesn’t lend to surgery now, but we are always here to help him navigate! He is always grateful as I make sure I lead him to specialties! I found a home for her. It's hard sometimes to know if just someone's cat who's an outdoor car. I feed them anyway. They are appreciative and loving. Thank you again Lee. He’s so beautiful!!!!!! I’m so happy for you. You have the best most fulfilling career ever!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. I rescued an abused senior dog. I took out money for my retirement even though she was old. I wanted to give her the best years of her life. Unfortunately, they said surgery would not help her. I spoiled her until the end. I miss my Willow. 🥺😭😭😭. I now have two rescues fron a South Korean meat market. They won’t ever have to worry about being tortured because it makes “them taste better”. They are forever safe and sleep on my bed every single night.
