It's so good to see a video of a vehicle found in a hedge rather than a barn 👍😂

Ha! Thanks for the comment; I did think a “hedge find” is a little unusual, I was gutted the farmer had already pulled the P100 out of the hedge before I got there. Thanks for watching. 👍

Great video Andy and it must be 30 years since I’ve seen one of those p100 now they used to be everywhere and the older cortina based ones! Great that Nigel could get all the parts he needed and then the rest can help others with their projects looking forward to seeing how the restoration progresses all the best to you all Daniel

Thank you@@stewartward912 , I appreciate the support. I've just returned from a work trip and I took the Peugeot - covered 468 faultless miles. It's a good car and I'll enjoy it for now, but I'm minded that it's not a permanent part of my collection. Thanks for watching the 406 video. 👍

It always amazers me what l find on you tube and a British Ford ute never knew they existed but now l know and been an Australian l like utes and l own a 1997 Toyota Hilux ute just a 2X4 single cab with an aluminium tray with a a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder l petrol engine and of course we do have Ford utes in Australia of course the Ford Falcon ute and there was a Ford Courier 4 cylinder ute it was a rebadged Mazda Bravo ute and l actually owned a Mazda Bravo ute myself

Thanks for the comment - good to know my videos are occasionally educational! The Ford P100 is indeed a Ford Europe pick-up truck produced in Cortina (first) and Sierra body - with diesel and petrol (pinto) engines... whether these would survive the rough terrain of the Australian Outback is questionable, but I am certain your HiLux does it well. Thanks for watching.

I wasn't expecting to see a diesel in it

I just missed out on one that was nearly finished with a tuned Rover V8 3.9. Someone put a deposit on it an hour before I pitched my offer. He came back to me a week later, saying it'd been collected 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Thanks for the comment and sorry to learn that you missed out on what sounds a wicked P100. I can understand you wanting one, they’re so cool. Thanks for watching the video.

Decent video, that’s a 1.8 na diesel throw some fuel up it and it’d go

Thanks for the comment, glad to know you enjoyed this short vid. We were very confident we could get the old engine started but didn’t in the end as we had someone interested in taking it on. Shame really as I’d liked to have seen it go. Thanks for watching.

Ha! Thank you for the comment and the correction; every day is a school day and I’ve been calling the tub of a pickup the “butt” for years… I’ll make the change. Thanks for watching the video.
