I apologize brother for posting non related stuff , but people need to know this . Benjamin Luckette 10 years old of Millington Tennessee died yesterday saving his 6 year old sister Abagail from drowning . she fell in a frozen pond and went through the ice , Benjamin sent his brother to get their dad and jumped in the water after his sister. when the dad got there he got Abagail out alive but Benjamin had drown , standing in water deeper than he was tall holding his baby sisters head above the water ! i cannot stop crying for the pain and anguish his family is going through . Benjamin Luckette is a HERO he gave his life to save his little sister ! please everybody pray for the Luckette's . i don't know any of these people , it just seems important that the world know about Benjamin's sacrifice !

Remove the sponge filter discus frys are attracted to black colour so the fry will stivk to any black colour object in the tank, and they will die

Aquarium silicone doesnt apply very well too other things then glass. You could use Super glue gel (cyanoacrylate) to fix it, but you probably cant get the bulkhead off after.

Hey mate. I’ve used heaps of those bunnings rain water tanks. It’s not the thread that is leaking, it’s the actual valve. Couple of options, get a cap for the outlet, but it’ll still possibly leak out where the tap is. Otherwise get another valve, it’s a 15mm thread. Get something more stiff so it actually seals when you shut the valve.

You should empty the ro remove the valve, sand the whole area then reseat the valve then silicone the area. Ruffing the area up will help with adhesion.

Probably you need to take out the tap, check for a crack in the barrel, if ok fit a new tap. If not fit a bulkhead.

Mate I've got the same water tank and had the same problem. I just replaced the tap for a better quality one as it was leaking from the actual tap mechanism not where it would screw in.

With rams I get a good pair that take care of there eggs and once they spawn I piplet the baby’s out and throw them in a tank with moss I will only loose 10% of the eggs at most to fungus they do a really good job of caring for the eggs. I used to use methane blue but I feel it’s kind of a waist because the parents can do the same thing even better
