Reselling Trainers/sneakers for profit on eBay- Trainer transformation and photography

Watch me transform a dirty, tired pair of trainers into a tidy pair, then see how I photograph them for a profitable resale. (supplies listed below)
Refreshing the discoloured midsole with Jacquard Neopaque fabric paint to increase my profit margin. A fresh looking pair of trainers/sneakers are more likely to sell than a dirty, tired pair; I've cleaned these then repainted the midsole to increase their profitability and make them look better than their potential competition.
Is it worth the time? For a higher end pair of trainers, yes it is! It's no different than taking the time to fully build a LEGO set to demonstrate it's all there.

Good man. Just take your time, if you rush you make mistakes. It’s one of the jobs where you can sit out in the sun for a quiet 10 mins with a cup of coffee. If you make a mistake use a cotton bud and some nail varnish remover. I tend to find a few thin coats works best, this took two coats, once fully dry give it a once over with a a hair dryer to “cure” the paint. I’ll be ordering some Bamboo bits from Amy shortly!

Be careful of cracking on the mid sole, try hairdressers developer creme and leaving them in the sun. I also use this for retro briting any discoloured plastic. It returns it to it's original colour even if that colour isn't white, commonly grey electronics

Ashley, yes, I use hydrogen peroxide cream on yellowed rubber outsoles too, in this case as it was an EVA outsole that had lost its colour, the textile paint works well for me. Heat cures it and binds it to the surface but it stays flexible. Thanks for watching.

ResellingTeenUK. No worries, shoes are great, small, unbreakable and high margins. Take your time, it’s better to do three thin coats than one thick coat (which will run or show drip marks).
