Thank you. I have an MFC-8710DW, which has been a highly reliable workhorse. My drum report is "zero" service life remaining. But all printing has been looking just fine.

You're welcome! Yes, I'm glad you got it working again. That's what I didn't get. The printer still has plent life init and the computer just says it doesn't. Good thing Brother took care of that issue.

Can someone please help. Cannot assure the gentleman who posted this video is still checking comments... I own a BROTHER MFC-8710DW printer, and it has provided us wonderful printing support for several years. The problem I am having now, is that the pages are printing very 'dirty'. Sort of printing a light black-grayish background with the toner on all printed pages. As time has gone by, this background has become a bit darker. I don't know if there is a specific part I need to clean or if I am now in need of a new drum or fuser unit. Other than the pages printing dirty, there are no line streaks, no toner smudges or blank spots on the printed pages. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Is there a way to reset the toner? My drum is at 100%, the toner at approximately 25%, and I started getting the annoying message that "toner is low"? Any tips? Thank you!

I am an MFC-8710DW user. When I get that message, I just ignore it and continue to print until the print quality becomes noticeably defective.

I hope you're still on here checking comments! I've watched several of your videos, but still having issues. MFC-8710DW prints good from front paper feed tray, but jams on page two every time. Prints blurry from paper tray, but doesn't jam. Help!!!!

I'm sorry for delayed response. How many pages has your printer printed?If you wipe the printed piece pf aper with your hand, does it leave toner dust on your hand? If it does, your fuser isn't working goo and needs to be replaced. If no dust on hands or smear on paper, the drum may need to be repalced. Keep in mind thaty resetting any parts on the printer will not restore it's quality. It only givers you the opportunity to bypasss your printer memory and keep using the parts if you think they are fine.

@@303electronics Thank you so much for getting back to me. No toner smears. Just blurred printing. I tried cleaning the drum, there seemed to be dust on the red roller as I was cleaning it off. Looked like white paper dust. I'm using 20lb 92 bright paper.
