You are so inspiring! Your daughter-in-law is a quick study. You light up so much with your grandchildren around. Have a great Thanksgiving! I’ll be going by my sister for Thanksgiving.

Great teacher and I'm glad your lovely daughter-in-law is GIT'N ADDICTED. Plants are great and everyone will come to their cap point with plants. I here it all the time in the plant world. Yes Queen, you can include music in the background of your videos. Find out from KZbin what kind and where you can get this music from. Thanks appreciate video. Lovely family. Do Have a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!

Hi Justa, very heartwarming video and also so nice to actually see that propagation with moss. I think I know why mine never worked, the rooting hormone, lol. I will try again with the rooting hormone this time. Btw, flan for dessert.
@justaplantroom1393Күн бұрын
Thank you, Joann! Don’t do like me and let it callous, then add a sprinkle of rooting hormone. I’ve even used crushed charcoal just to help prevent infection. No one size, happy experimenting 😉

Hi Justa! I have 3 sons but no daughter in laws - yet. Always enjoy seeing family of our plant youtubers. You're a great teacher! I don't believe in a cut and dry way of taking care of plants. Just like children they need care according to their needs. I had a bad mealy bug infestation and lost some of my hoyas, pretty bummed about that so now I'm more of a "helicopter plant mom" after the lost. Look forward to your next. Thanks for sharing! Dee, NY
@justaplantroom1393Күн бұрын
You’re absolutely correct, one size doesn’t work for every thing. Sorry about your Hoya loss. I’m always checking so I guess that makes me a helicopter mom too. If it looks suspicious it’s getting treated. Love being with the family! 😌

Good morning Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I loved the family time with your plants she will make a great plant parent she looks like she really enjoyed it. I know you will enjoy the grandkids. I will not get to see my kids until Xmas but that fine. It’s nice that you are sharing the love with your plants. That will make people happy I really enjoy plants can’t wait to retire and have more time with my plants. My husband think I will get bored with them but I don’t think so because on the weekends Friday and Saturday night I stay up doing plant things to one two o’clock in the morning every week 😅. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving day with your family.

Hi Rosalyn! Thank you, I love spending time with the family. Like you, I can’t wait until I can retire so I can do the things I love, plants and jewelry making among other things. I can’t imagine getting bored with my plants, lol! I hope you have a wonderful holiday with the family and grandkids! 💕

I usually go for water, moss or fluval propagation. It depends. I’m trying to make a mango seed sprout in moss but it’s not doing much. Maybe I try with just water or fluval next time. Have you thought of planting the little monstera and mayoi propagations together? I think they’d look great together in a little arrangement. People like that a lot.
@justaplantroom1393Күн бұрын
I like all those methods but I do like trying in substrate. I haven’t tried to sprout a mango since I was a little kid with my dad. I may have to give that a go! 😌 I didn’t consider putting those together but that’s a thought.

Getting addicted to plants and orchids isn't difficult at all. Your DIL is very pretty 😍 Btw...I found a gorgeous 3' Norfolk Pine at my local Home Depot today. Get yours before they're gone. Only two left in my local store. I propagate in water only. It works for me. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Plant addiction is a real thing but there are worse vices. Thank you, I think she’s pretty and smart too. ☺️ I like water propagation for some plants, moss for others. I’m finding that I do enjoy propping in the medium I plan to grow in though. Happy Holidays to you and your family! 💕😌

@justaplantroom1393 it's a busy time of year for sure. All 16 of my phals are in spike... it's gonna be quite a show! How's yours doing? Once you learn them they just spike and flower automatically. 🎋🎄🎋

I propagate with mixture of moss, charcoal, pumice, tree fern. I do not remove substrate from roots when planting up. Reduce shock. Mostly used aroid mix soilless. Family that Prayers Together Stay Together 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 🪴Happy Planting🌿

Very similar mix with the exception of the tree fern (it’s so expensive). Thanks for sharing Ms. Lady June 😌

I'm with you. If my plants need tending to now, I give them what they want. Quick question: I put a few plants in clear pots in August, and the roots have grown out of the pots already. Should I repot now or wait till spring?
@justaplantroom1393Күн бұрын
That’s really up to you. Are the roots swirling around on the inside? You may be able to just trim the roots or lift the plant out and reposition them.
