You hit on many key facts on what the luxury candles are and aren't. For me I custom blend many of my candle fragrances. I don't go crazy on my pricing and keep my labels simple. I have told new candle makers to always try to stay true to your goals and learn to improve on your product. I love what I do! Thank you for your videos. I learn something new with every one of them

I am disabled and suffer from PTSD along with depression and anxiety from being a Marine and making candles helps a lot. I have been using 646 soy wax making candles for my family and testing. But have come across a hemp coco soy blend and was wondering if you have tried it or know any thing about it. I really enjoy your videos and the way you explain things from testing wicks waxs and starting up a bunnies. Keep up the great work.

The biggest myth about luxury candles is that you, a small indie maker, can create a luxury product using off-the-shelf supplies. Just because it's expensive to make does not mean it's luxury, and if you've fallen into this trap created by companies like Makesy, you should spend some time looking at major luxury brands, and thinking about the psychology that motivates consumers of luxury goods. Go hang out in luxury subreddits and see what they talk about (they dont talk about apricot coconut wax). Luxury has higher value, not greater expense, and it's very difficult to create high value with materials and supplies that everyone else has access to. If you want to make a luxury candle, every component of your design should be custom, from fragrance to vessel to packaging.

Yes! You have to make everything not accessible to competitors if you want to succeed in that market… very difficult but not impossible
