Hi.great videos. If I move to spain on non lucrative visa and gain residency after 5 years, can i work once im a resident? or do i have to be a spanish citizen to work and bow long until i gain citizenship.many thanks.jason
@LegalServicesinSpain2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jason. You can apply for permanent Spanish residency when you renew for 5 years under the non lucrative visa, subject to meeting the requirements. This allows you to work and reside in Spain and it is not a requirement to be a Spanish citizen to do this. You can acquire Spanish nationality by residency if you have been legally and continuously resident in Spain for a period of 10 years. If you would like any more information please contact our specialist residency team enquiries@legalservicesinspain.com

what benefits do I get from getting residency in Spain,,,,,, will this allow me to travel around EU disregarding the 90 day rule??
@LegalServicesinSpain3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, thank you for contacting us. In principal, if you are an EU Citizen with Spanish residency then you can travel to another EU country. However, if you are a non EU Citizen with Spanish residency then the 90 day rule applies when travelling to other EU Countries. If you would like more information specific to your circumstances, please email our residency team enquiries@legalservicesinspain.com

Hi, I’m a British citizen and I would like to move to Spain to live and work full time. I have a green NIE card because I lived and worked in Spain a few years ago. I returned to the Uk for a few years and now I’d like to return to Spain again. Can I return with my NIE card? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Regards

Thank you for contacting us. It would be better if you could email a copy of your green residency card to our residency team so they can check it and advise further. Their email address is www.enquiries@legalservicesinspain.com

Thank you for the upload, very informative. Can one work on the 1 year non-lucrative visa? Also, if one doesn't have liquid cash of €27k but can prove through other means- is that acceptable? Thanks
@LegalServicesinSpain3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for contacting us. You cannot work with the non-lucrative visa so you have to prove sufficient financial resources without the need to work. Income from a pension or a rental property would be acceptable.

Remote working will be allowed from Spain?
@LegalServicesinSpain4 жыл бұрын
The simple answer is no. Sufficient financial resources required for a non-lucrative visa will be evidenced by the submission of bank statements so income derived from a salary indicates the applicant is engaging in paid work activity. If the financial means is derived from shares, dividends or royalties, applicants have to prove, by certification thereof, that they do not carry out any work activity in such companies and have to submit an affidavit to that effect.

I didn't think you were able to work remotely in Spain on a non-lucrative visa? So can someone work for a UK company who has no ties with Spain on an NL visa?
@LegalServicesinSpain4 жыл бұрын
You cannot engage in any work or professional activity remotely in Spain if you apply for the non-lucrative visa. You can only reside in Spain. UK Nationals are now subject to the general rules governing foreign nationals, unless conditions for mobility are established under the - 2 - MINISTERIO DE ASUNTOS EXTERIORES Y DE COOPERACIÓN framework of the agreement on future relations being negotiated between the UK and the EU.

Hello, I'm a British citizen and have an NIE number (having lived in Spain a few years ago) and wish to return to live in Spain with my Spanish boyfriend. I intend to work remotely for a company based in the UK. Is this possible if I get residency through him, and do you have any information regarding taxes? Thanks!
@LegalServicesinSpain3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Genevieve for your question. It is possible to get residency through your Spanish boyfriend but first you have to prove you have a relationship with him and you are living together. It can be done by registering as “Pareja de Hecho” at the Town Hall. You will then be able to apply for Spanish residency as a "familiar" of a Spanish citizen, which allows you to live and work in Spain. If you spend more than 183 days in Spain in a calendar year, you will be considered a tax resident and liable to pay tax in Spain on worldwide assets and income. We suggest you discuss this with a tax specialist. For more information, please email our Get Spanish Residency team enquiries@legalservicesinspain.com
