I remember when I picked up my copy of RE2. I was in the eighth grade and my best friend's mom and pop owned a rental store and were driving up to Halifax to buy some movies from a distributor. I had heard about RE2 from a classmate who couldn't stop talking about it but didn't want to lend it as well as being a pretty avid reader of magazines like Game Pro and EGM so when they asked me if I wanted to go with them for a two day trip I thought I'd get lucky and they could snag me a copy. I'm pretty sure I didn't have enough for a new copy since it was money I made raking blueberries in a zip lock bag I carried around. Think I had $60. Right when we got in to the city we stopped at Jack Astor's for lunch I got ribs and then they noticed a used game shop down the road. They wanted to check it out to see if they could score some cheap movies and games to add to their store and when we got in under the display case was a used copy of RE2 for $40. I had $40. I was so excited I was going to buy it before I even checked the condition of the discs but once I dropped that money down and took the game out it felt like the longest two days of my life at the time. The only other time I got that kind of excited about a game was having no luck finding RE1 since getting RE2 in my dumpo town until one day me and my mom went out to a random flea market and an old lady had the Director's Cut for sale for $12.
