they kept the "bingo line" and kept the salazar "script" line, and i was so happy because of that. after finishing the salazar boss fight, i got a "no thanks, bro" ackchivement and i was insanely filled with joy. this game can seriously unlock old memories.

Talking about re4 original bad movement, stand still to reload, he didn’t even finished the original… I’m sorry but I rather let you know to not let a reviewer ruin your own gaming experience. You didnt mention one of the most important things, Ashley is adorable now and you dont want to shove her into the lake for speaking. The Va's did phenomenal and really breathed a new life into everyone, and just all around was pure polish, as Re2R was.

The game may be close to perfect, but this remake will never change the fact that the original RE4 for it's time (and even today) is one of the best action/shooter games of all time, it's so great that I replayed the campaing 2 times just to get the lazer gun, and then proceed to play it once again

As someone who played the game in late 2006 it was impressive in every way Graphics quality Diversity between puzzles, enemies, bosses and the areas you visit The story of Ida and the mercenary games Even the negatives you mentioned about the control were very minor compared to what the game offered at that time

Outbreak is personally my most favorite zombie co-op game alongside Left 4 Dead, and it's cause it's a completely different take from the other zombie coop games. Only issue really is that it isn't available elsewhere besides PS2, and the fact that co-op still suffers even with the private servers

Amazing, a RE4 video when I just completed the OG RE4 for the first time and it become one of my favorite games (I admit it, I used HD Project. But that mod is so good; IF YOU USE IT, TURN ON VULCAN RENDERING SO YOU WON'T GET CRASHED WHEN USING INFRARED SCOPE). Yes, tank controls and standing still while aiming may be annoying for some people, but not for me. I didn't find those annoying in the slightest and found them adding to the experience; Clunky and archaic mechanics don't bother as much as other people. Also qte were to be honest not so bad in RE4, if you compere them to God of War 2 qte, RE4 qte were great;, because in GOW2 qte were so horrible, if you didn't respond the second those appeared or clicked something else accidentally, you were fucked (i use that comparison because i played it recently). But I also prefer originals over remakes because I find them kinda unnecessary and usually remakes kinda kill original atmosphere and game play in name for more mainstream blandness and realistic graphics don't appeal to me and seem to make games worse (i prefer gen 6 graphics or older, or stylized stuff). That being said, RE4R looks good (I still haven't even bought it), and one of my favorite games is remake of HL1 - Black Mesa, but those are outliers for me.

I wholeheartedly agree with you . The remake is cool but is still changed and doesnt really exchange the OG because it has its own ups and even downs. And i think the Remake was at the end good but not really stand out enough to be the better game . I mean for me it was another third person shooter. And i think Tank-controls arent bad just many people are bad at those games . Maybe outdated but not impossible to play . And i think camera-angles are much more cooler if those are well-made and even dynamic . But you know , people just wanna play the same Gameplay in different skins and called new games as being better.

Personally I played the VR version of RE4, and I enjoyed it quite a lot since the VR control scheme removed all of the clunkyness related to the original’s control scheme. It’s like modernized version of the game while keeping the original stuff whenever possible. The only thing is that I wish that it was darker.

I'm gonna be honest, when I heard this game was getting a remake I was pretty skeptical about it since Resident Evil 4 was already so beloved with playable ports on nearly every platform, so I was worried this was going to be more of a "Last of Us part 1 Remake" that didn't really add or change much for the better. But hearing that nearly every aspect of the gameplay itself has been polished up and refined to be less clunky and dated like how the recent Dead Space Remake updated things has definitely grabbed my attention, and outside of some smaller nitpicks can be considered the definitive way to play the game. (And by nitpicks I mean stuff like adding the Yellow Paint Xs to anything breakable that a lot of modern games do now which doesn't feel as natural, but doesn't actually ruin anything in the grand scheme of things.)
