IMPORTANT TIP! Was getting ready to quit but managed finally to do it. I was holding right mouse to ready the harpoon WAY too much. This means you get caught by the dive attacks and also the obstacles. When you're holding the harpoon your left/right movement is massively restricted and this was why I was getting hit by obstacles and the dive attacks. When you're not holding the harpoon you can dodge those things much easier keeping you from taking damage. So between shots put down the harpoon and only shoot when you know you can. If you play ultra cautious and just dodge everything then it might take a while but you can avoid all damage.

It's the hardest and lamest part of the game because the play control is awful and the thing takes way too many hits to kill. I don't know what the developers were thinking here. Yet another poor choice. I truly hate this game.

This fight made me quit Professional difficulty and the game as a whole (although I still love it, I've beaten it twice already, but I need a break now with this BS difficulty). What were Capcom thinking? This fight on Professional and the "use only a pistol and knife" trophy/achievement (it's still hard, even on Assisted... that room with 2 Garrador is incredibly unfair with just a pistol and knife, and let's not even mention those 2 rooms with the spiky Regenerators) are pure cancer. I don't even wanna think how idiotic the Salazar and Saddler fights will be (or the aforementioned room with the 2 Garrador). Yeah.... no thanks, bro.

The spiky regenerator won't be triggered so long as you don't touch the bag, so there's only 1 fight with him is mandatory.

The Garradors fight is easy in a knife-only run. Just use the maxed out Primal Knife, put it on easy mode, and casually parry every enemy then stab the shit out of them. It's literally easier to do that part with the primal knife, than it is to do it with guns. As for the Garradors themselves, just stay calm, shank them in the back, then slowly crawl away. If you crawl, there's pretty much no chance any of their blind swings will hit you. If you have the primal knife, no time limit, and no difficulty requirement, you can run through the game with absolute ease.

@@brandongao2503 By saying costed the run do you mean the timer kept running? If you exit the game after you die, it doesn’t count the time wasted. You just exit then reload your save. If you reload the save after you die without quitting the game, the counter keeps going.

Finally Unlocked the Infinite Rocket Launcher and thought rushing through Professional to get an A would be a piece of cake....then this mother flipper had to block my way. Literally only parts I had even a tint bit of trouble with so far, is this, and getting my weapons back (could of easily shanked all 3 guards, but was trying to speed run, so kept either hitting the bear trap before the door, or I'd make it, and the game would say nawm even though when I crouched, my head was literally lower than the door)

You don't have to crouch for Leon to roll under those doors. He does it automatically when you're close. Crouching just adds more time.

That was me in TLOU and the RE Remakes. Almost every dang time I'd have in my sights the perfect shot and about to fire when the game decides to say nope not today let's sway more than usual. It''s like those dang movies where you see someone fire a shot and you see the bullet go in slow motion then graze the person's cheek. WTF!!! Lol.

Nope you missed now run. If only they had some sort of button trigger to where you could pick up the grenade or stick of dynamite and throw it back. A last second button hit before you get blown up.

Tested in my run and if you just hold all the way to the right (other than dodging debree) you can avoid all of his attacks

A strat that worked for me is to hold down left or right at all times, of course change direction if you need to dodge an obstacle but holding at all times one the sides significantly improves dodging the monsters attacks

Okay I don't know if it's just me being lucky or I'm just really good at Resident Evil but for some reason my first try on Hardcore not professional yet I'd beat him very easily on my first try honestly when you're just get your aim really good to keep harpooning his ass and then when he jumps at you just turn the both the opposite way and half the time you won't even lose health I literally beat him without losing any kind of help every time he came at me I just turn the boat the opposite way and I beat him took a million harpoons but I got them first try

The difference in difficulty for this boss between Assisted and Standard is significant. Easy on Assisted; really tough on Standard. It becomes much more aggressive. I wonder how much harder Professional can make it.

This battle was a must. For one it was in the original. It pretty much the heart of the village. It lead to literally every area you encountered earlier allowing you to backtrack with ease. Not to mention it was also part of the castle. Just be glad they didn't decide to put the giant Salazar construct chasing you down a narrow pathway with columns and having to dodge falling debris. Or worse the whole Krouser fight where it was literally button mashing the whole first encounter. One failed button attempt and you were dead. Screwing you of beating the game without dying. Try playing the remastered version. If you died once there goes your achievement of not dying once in the game.

Hold right the entire time to dodge the monster. 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 use left to dodge obstacles. This worked in Professional.

Its easy to do this on pro. Its hard when you want to unlock the challenge of killing it without missing. I killed it 3 times already, but i still be missing 😭
