What scared me about this part is that, I knew that they were coming, and that they would find me and that I didn’t know how many of them there were or what my objective was. You could almost take for granted some of the interesting combat mechanics that RE4 introduced. It's one of the first games that allowed the enemies to react differently depending on the kind of body parts shot. And it's one of the first games that implemented dynamic difficulty scaling. Game still holds up pretty well, but if they're remaking it, hope that the controls get smoothed out a bit :)

In RE4 the enemies were supposed to grow extremely long teeth and their jaw expand beyond normal limits. Its in the concept art book. Hopefully with the remake they can add this feature, i think it would be very unique and scary.

No, the player here just handled it like an expert. He kind of cheesed it by making them all come from one window and taking out most with the grenade and multiple enemies at once with each shotgun blast. I remember running around the village struggling at this part too.

@@joshuac1364 yeah cz once you're in that house you start to panic because its so crowded. I loved how the environment can feel so crowded yet so resourceful because you can create pathways by killing them off. When I was 14 this stayed with me haha

Oh nostalgic moment. Took me ages to complete this part. Loved these games. Also Silent Hill and of course Tomb Raider. I was more into horror tho. God bless PS 1
