I'm personally more of a fan of the horror oriented RE games and I'm happy with the direction the series has taken from 7 onward, BUT I'm not going to pretend that RE6 isn't fun as fuck for what it is. It's like a playable Michael Bay movie, and I mean that in the best way.

A few things, there is files in the game but you get them by shooting the serpent emblems and then looking in the bonus menu. You also get figures if you make 4 in a row like a bingo card. I also love the slide/jump forward and then the jump backwards out of it but it's even better with the remote bombs. Nothing like sliding with the remote bombs and then jumping out of it and getting enough distance to detonate it. I also love fact that other players playing different campaigns will join your campaign if they sync up. Nothing like co-op mid campaign with complete strangers. This game rules with 4 people, with all the players doing the rapid weapon swap tech to cancel recoil (it's great with Pier's sniper). Funniest thing ever.

Sadly, this game had poor story and level design, but the gamepley was the best so sar. You had a freedom of movement, how you wanted to dodge or evade the enemies. No hope difficulty was very balanced and i really appreciated the co-op feature ,which i miss nowadays. Really, i wished capcom made half of it's games horror focused and the rest action focused games.

Its so good i recreated it for fallout: new vegas with 0 prior bethesda modding experience LOL just the bare minimum required to edit and stitch together other people's mods to faithfully recreate how 3rd person shooting feels in RE6. no idea why ive never played even a single other title with similar gamefeel. not even any of the RE spinoffs released during "bullshit-era" capcom can fetch it from my old laptop if anyones interested

Your editing also felt really on point with the jokes and overall flow of the video. 👏 I wonder if there's a Mandela effect type of thing happening with how many of the fans remember the RE games? Like sure 1 and 2 tried to be serious horror games, 3 feels like the starting point for the changes with it's more action genre sensibilities (tho' my unpopular opinion is that it's a great game version of a slasher horror genre). But after 4 and the spin-offs around that time, I don't know how anybody couldn't have realized how silly the games are plot wise and action/set piece wise. I thought it was only inevitable that after 4 they would keep doing what all RE games have done even before that, aka escalating the stakes and making every game bigger than the one before it - so 6 just feels like every RE trope made ridiculously extra. (which makes it super funny, in almost like a 80's action movie way) In my honest opinion the only RE game that nails the horror aspect and is more grounded feeling (emphasis on the feeling lol) is the RE 1 remake - but even in that I can't say I can take the story too seriously most of the time lol. I would definitely be interested in seeing you play 7 and 8, just because of your disgruntled comments about them lol. But it's understandable if you won't, as it seems obvious you didn't enjoy them.

There's like next to no bugs so it's gotta be the most polished bad game of all time. But if you don't take it seriously and just look at it like Commando 1985 with zombies, then the game can be a really fun. (biggest help is, as you said, that it's gameplay wise solid) Agree with the polished comments, probably helped that Capcom was like really confident about the game and put a lot of money into it. The mean part of me finds it super funny how Capcom thought they cooked and served with the game, but then basically the whole fandom threw the game back to the kitchen lol. Went back to check your video on RE5 and the tier list, and I'm just blind for not noticing 7 and 8 in it lol (or in the other RE videos before it). As someone who used to hate 5 and 6, I jumped off the bandwagon long ago 5 is a great game, especially in co-op, it's very much an upgrade from 4. 6 is kinda dumb, easily the worst game(besides maybe RE0 or RE3Remake) but it's still a good game overall and I appreciate it now. The scope of what they were going for was commendable, and I hope they can improve upon it with a Remake at some point.

The zombies deal one block of damage, just for grabbing you and then they can do more during the grab itself. I had to equip the skill that makes the ai partner pick you up with herbs, so i could basically not die.

I love how everyone hates Jake for no obvious reason and never explains why. Claire is the typical college girl who has a chip on her shoulder, Jill is the overly badass female empowered character, Leon is slightly more in depth being a rookie cop turned special agent, Rebecca is the know it all child prodigy who has something to prove, sherry is the daughter of a mad scientist, and THAT'S IT. Jake is a boy raised by mercenaries to help take care of his dying mother and several siblings only to come back to find his siblings gone and his mother dead with a note telling him to not hate his no-show dad. Jake then comes across the daughter of his father's best friend, who says that jake is the key to saving the world and he is stuck in the mindset that money can fix everything. What he wants with that money, nobody knew but it was clear he started off as neither a good or a bad guy. I'll agree his development could have been written better but he started with the darkest and deepest backstory, right up there with Billy Coen. and be honest! when youre playing RE6 are you really there for the story??

The game was nothing like the other RE games. I mean. It's like no other game in general. How could anything be like this? (The microwave???) xD But the thing is, I thought the same about RE7, which is why I could respect it for what it is. Now, I know they copied the forced walking sequences from 6 lol. But someone had a lot of fun with this game. There are so many crazy things going on! It makes me angry how lame and boring newer entries are... How do you go from this to walking simulator? Oh my God, but this was so funny. Genuinely. It's probably one of your best vids so far. I was worried I would disturb my neighbors with my cry-laughing. xD Looking forward to the next!! It takes the silliness of 4 and the overly dramaticness of 5 and puts them together, it's so funny. If only they made the story make any sense lmaoo. His best line was in RE8 when he said, "It's dark." I just want the action the series was always known for back in future titles. Yes, that includes the original games as well.

As someone who loves RE to death, I absolutely would call all of Resident Evil "stupid shit" (affectionately). I don't think that anyone could play the originals and watch the old cutscenes with a straight face. They were goofy as hell and i loved them for it. I just don't understand the hate 6 got while 4 is being praised as the 2nd coming of christ. Both are fun as all hell.

Code veronica is literally shit. Terrible voice acting. Even worse graphics and the controls are a joke. Not too mention inventory space is nonexistent in that game and bosses are too strong for the amount of ammo you can find... Its not an enjoyable experience. I actually prefer 6 and revelations over the first few games...

The controls were fine for its time, if u struggle with tank controls that's a skill issue that's on u so don't blame the game, the voice acting was intentional to have that b movie unserious and humorous feel to it. The tight inventory space and management is what makes it a survival horror game in the first place

@@Ibs69420 Graphics were NOT good for its time lol... there were plenty of games that came out at that time that were far superior in graphic designs... hell the re remake came out like 2 years later. and yes they had the technology to do that in 2000. Some companies were capcom didnt have the funding for it... and its certainly not a lack of skill. I've beaten that game on every level of difficulty... Just like every re game ive played... which is all of them. Even the spinoffs... And no tight inventory space does not make a survival game... creepy atmosphere does... which code veronica lacked as well. The fact that you can't even expand it hardly at all like in other games makes it. Like i should be able to carry more than 2 weapons into a boss fight... And dont even get me started on how unnecessarily long the game is... which is unlike me to say. usually i want it to be longer... But there is literally no point in chris' play through... All he does is follow claire... seems a little redundant to actually make us waste the time playing as him.
