His model is accurate to the state of plot (without jacket, falling apart hand), they could use every other models. But I think same as you, he is dead, even that last words "Father story is now done" means that we end with Ethan and go straight to his daughter story or something. They used it as a very good bait hahahah

Are we really not talking about how they reused the exact same audio from re3 for the boats? Seriously if you ever take one of the boats through the mutated fish bosses section (forgot how to spell his name, lol) or to get one of the treasures or the phantom fish listen closely to the sound of the motor. It's the exact same sound the motor for the jet ski and the boats in re 4 made.

About the easter egg at 8:21 - My guess for XXVY on the plate is about the 25 years that Resident Evil is doing this year, since the first game was released in 1996 (XXV is 25 in Roman numerals and Y may means years). I just don't know if JR means anything

In RE7 we played as Mia as second character (Pre-RE7) In RE2 and RE3 we played as Ada, Shelly and Carlos (Present) and in RE8 we played as Chris (Post-RE8). In RE9 we might play as Rose with Ethan (Where we might see his face officialy) having flashback sequences (Before and After RE7 and between RE7 and RE8)
