This team just wasted most of their ammo with all their "professionalism," lol. There's no adapting to the situation here. If center shots don't work, then try for some other type of weak point like a headshot. The targets aren't even trying to avoid the bullets. These guys are just showing us how to properly waste all their ammo in about 4 minutes, lol. But it's all for the movie to continue and put in the "survival" theme with limited ammo

In-universe those Umbrella soldiers (they are more like Umbrella special forces tho) are supposed to be professionals. I agree that in this scene they needed to be ineffective and had to waste ammo. But trashing those guys for not going for headshots exclusively is nonsense. Even in a game like Killing Floor it is not always possible when a firefight turns into chaotic mess.

The first 3 movies, like the first 3 games, held themselves to a standard. This was well done and holds up even today. The live action remake was cornier than this. U immediately get a sense of these characters as they're introduced, whether u have played the games or not, or even steeped in the lore. I love these characters even if we don't ever hear or read of them in the games.
