Seeing them all together should feel like a "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE" moment, but it just brings me to tears. Every single one of them just wants to retire, walk away and work through the trauma, but it just keeps coming back to pull them back in even deeper. The most tragic part is the reason why they never refuse the call: because they experienced the trauma that can be inflicted by these outbreaks and they will work their asses off to make sure it doesn't get as bad as Raccoon City. they are not Heroes, they are Survivors.

I was thinking about this the other day, look at their main competitor Silent Hill/Konami. They have fallen off so hard and yet Capcom after all these years still be making classics. RE7, RE8 RE remakes, DMC5, Dead Rising. We love you Capcom for being one of the last good devs :)

Resident evil is still going strong today because the franchise can adapt to either being a horror or action oriented and does not necessary catered one without the other. We have to thanks entries like RE4, 5 and 6 to allow this action formulaic to work.

@@danskyl7279 but beyond just resident evil, every game they release are like 9/10 or 10/10. Like with DMC5. DMC has been my favorite series since I was a young boy, I’ve played and beaten ALL of them on various difficulties. When I heard they were revitalizing the series with DMC5 in 2019 I thought it was gonna be garbage, I didn’t think it could live up to DMC4 or DMC3 yet some how it SURPASSED those games in every way. Capcom knows how to deepen the game mechanics of games they’ve made before. They don’t cut corners they simply improve and innovate.

Konami lost what made silent hill great. Capcom continues on the path they began with the first RE.
