"Old" people like me who discovered the first resident evil in the late 90s remember that the characters we played were fragile. I finished several times the first 3 games on ps1, but how many times did I get killed? Chris, Jill, Claire and Leon have never been john wick/neo/legolas and other invincible characters who kill hundreds of enemies in a row. What scared us in resident evil was our weakness. If we loved Claire, Jill, Leon and Chris, it's because we were afraid for them.

I didn't like the "pure action" orientation of the Resident Evil games. People aren't that stupid, they're just undemanding. The proof: I am a geek.

She was intrigued by what she saw in the Orca and contacted Rebecca Chris and Jill but deliberately left out Leon when he could easily know something about what was going on with the zombies in San Francisco. Yet Claire refuse to contact him. At some point Rebecca and Hunigan got in touch because that is how intertwined their investigation was. Yet the lack of will and effort on behalf of Claire to contact Leon really says between lines that she don’t like/trust him.
