IF RESIDENT EVIL 1 REMAKE RELEASE IN 2026, THEN IT MAKE SENSE THAT CAPCOM USE THE UPDATED REX ENGINE, NOT RE ENGINE WHICH IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL.

if they remake RE1 again which is basically full of corridors, they have to build the game mechanics completely in a new way to make the game fresh again and not the same as RE2 remake as that game, u have much more space to move around so 3rd person camera works. They would have to do something new and unique for this remake tho....

Hell yeah man I'm enjoying having discussions with the videos and of course reading the community and the responses. Most have been positive but some people are scared or on the fence about it but my take is let's just stay positive and see what happens next with the next RE announcement!

I remember the lost in nightmares dlc in part 5 seemed like resident evil 1 in 3rd person mode .

If they do it, and fans have been saying this, they should combine 0 and 1 with the actual canon ending with Barry Brad Chris Jill and Rebecca along with bringing back multiple endings. Maybe even an epilogue where they confront Chief Irons

@@dayvonlouis5187 you're not wrong, I love Code Veronica, it's still challenging for me even though I grew up with the original trilogy. I say they remake 0-1, CV, and even gun survivor as some kinda dlc mission. I'm excited for whenever 9 comes as well. Capcom isn't perfect, but they are consistent in effort imo

My hope is that they update the combat to make us feel and know why they are members of S.T.A.R.S. Maybe not to the level of Leon in RE4R but at least better than Leon in RE2R.

Everyone. I was looking at the release date of Resident Evil GC remake (March 2002); and the Film "28 Days Later (November 2002). I loved the idea of Rage Virus and Running Brutal Zombies. So i wonder if the Director "Danny Boyle" or the writer "Alex Garland" was inspired by Resident Evil!? *edit* I say this because of the concept of the crimson head*end edit* Or just coincidence. Still pretty cool lol

What I would like to see from an RE1 remake is a prologue or like a "demo" with Rebecca and Richard surviving before alpha team gets there and ending on the yawn encounter with a to be continued building hype like RE7 did

I like OG RE and RE remake is probably my favourite RE game (even thought it's a tough call), so yeah, I would love to have another RE1. I mean why not? RE2 and RE4 remakes were great, hoping on RE1 being at least that good. Hopefully Outbreak remake or part3 is also in development.

I'm Japan it's been called Biohazard RE but Over here it's just been RE. I think Resident Evil 1 will be how it is styled with the number 1 at the end making them all streamline titled.

I totally get what you mean with the "vibe" of RE, that's why RE7 and 8 nearly killed my interest in the entire franchise. Even 6 didn't manage to do that 😂 and that game is far from great I expect 9 to be weird and out of place as much as the previous 2 where, I just hope the lore goes back to the million unanswered questions and loose threads that go back to 6 and beyond

It’s inevitable that they’ll do a remake of 1, but I just feel like it’s just plain wrong. I don’t care if fans don’t like the fixed cameras or the style of the 02’ game, it’s pure art and making it over the shoulder wouldn’t differentiate from any other 3rd person horror games these days, it would water it down and make it soulless

They should remake Re1 last of the remake series. RE2 became scary and horror again, even with 3rd person camera angle. But we already have RE2-Re4 remake with the same camera so they have to either make a new camera for RE1 remake or stick with original fixed camera angle but add a whole new game mechanics for the smaller rooms and corridors of RE1 mansion/lab to make it fresh again like RE2 remake.
