Right? Even if it isn't connected to outside you have extremely dangerous specimens constantly being interacted with, having a current system in place to spread the airborne ones throughout, and possibly even topside. Idk just comes off as an intentional design flaw.. Personally i don't mind the RE movies. They're a shitty game adapatation, but as just a random side story about alice at in a RE universe they can be entertaining. The glaringly silly plot holes or clearly ignored continuity and things do get pretty annoying though. And i will say men's disappointing first time watching since was waiting for the characters i know and sorry i was familiar with to take off haha. Sorry even up way longer than planned. Tldr; i agree, pretty big screw up lol.

Enjoy Alice now, she gets even worse in the later movies. Seriously, I find it kinda weird everyone latched onto Rey as they primary Mary Sue target when Alice becomes the biggest Sue I've ever seen outside of fanfiction.

Star Wars is far more popular than Resident Evil that's why. When people think Resident Evil it's usually the games, not movies, while Star Wars is a much older and more established franchise.

I've played several of the RE games, and they've always gave me the impression of cheesy horror, bombastic action, and just popcorn fun. The movies simply took those traits to whole new level by a factor ten, and a good number of folks seem to have enjoyed them (despite lambasting from "true" RE fans) since the whole movie series earned lots of money ($1.2 billion total gross in 6 movies against a total budget of $288 million).

As a long time RE fan, I remember finally watching the movie after putting it off for so long and my review is that its an okay movie, just not an RE movie. Its kind of like how I feel about RE 6, good game with good graphics, its just not an RE game and thats why its bad. At least the sound track for this movie is good though.

Actually, this movie might be more original than you think, considering that it came out just before the reemergence of the zombie genre. If I am not mistaken, 28 days later, Shaun of the dead, and the Dawn of the Dead remake all came out shortly after this did and this film probably started the trend. In fact, 28 days later has a remarkably similar premise.

i watched all the movies with my dad and all i can say is that Alice is the biggest Mary Sue of the world -everyone loves her -all her plans work -she can do EVERYTHING, even fly a plane -she has magical powers -she is the target the bad guys want, and only her -ShEs So PoWeRfUl -theres always a happy end where she and her "friends" are ready for what happens next like bro they just stand there? imagine how cringe the silence is

While The Dead Don't Die was a mixed bag, I do like how in that movies, the zombies are attached to things they liked when they were alive. That was a creative and interesting choice thant gave the zombies personality.

Just pretending to be smart here: the reason a lot of dangerous substances are kept in glass containers, is, that glass is one of the least reactive materials there is. Most acids don't harm glass, just like most other chemicals. Glass just won't give a fuck. (That's also the reason why beverages taste better, when served in glass bottles compared to plastic bottles.) One of my chemistry professors at Uni was kinda in love with glass and praised it's positive properties more than once.

Growing up with these movies I've always found them to be a guilty pleasure, I know they're not cinematic genius but it was a badass female protagonist I could aspire to be like, the perfect mix of strength and femininity. Although I only really like the first four movies with 3 being my favourite.

truly the only resident evil movie Imo. apocalypse was alright but it ruins the games 2 and 3. I would think of 1 as a different story that led to the outbreak in raccoon city with Alice being another survivor fighting for her life with a ambiguous fate of surviving or not alongside the other survivors of raccoon city. however it was because of this movie that I found out about the resident evil games and became a fan of the true resident evil universe. and this was when I first played resident evil 5, which was my favorite resident evil game still to this day.
