I knew you two would be GAGGED with this movie! I love it so much, it's my favourite out of the franchise. Fun fact, there's a version with commentary on the DVD, and Milla and Paul both make fun of the things that don't make sense. Sometimes when I need a mood boost, I'll just go and watch it. They'll be joking about Luther having a CGI ass where all the guns come from (they have way too many guns that they can't possibly carry haha, as well as the infinite ammo lol). It's absolutely hilarious. And it's so fun to hear that they do know the continuity is shit sometimes. This franchise is definitely a "this makes no sense, but you know what it's fucking awesome."

So after such a cliffhanger ending obviously everyone was very excited for the following movie and I don't really think it's a spoiler to say it all went unaddressed and under the rug and between the movies something DID happen. So spoiler for that: Before The Final Chapter that fight on top of the White House did happen and was in the book and original screenplay, it must've been Sony who decided against having it. It's also likely they didn't have the capability to bring all the actors back. So what happened, which we wouldn't know, was that all of the monsters eventually combined into one giant mass of monster. Wesker betrayed everyone (again) somehow, Leon and Ada were swooped up by the big mass of monster and killed together. Jill was killed and the revived by the little virtus left in her and in a zombie-like state, using a sword, rescued Alice. The deaf girl also died. Unrelated but between 2(Apocalypse) and 3(Exctinction) Umbrella managed to take control of Alice and forced her to kill Angela, and that's where she went between the movies. There's a lot left out between this movies and the story of the final one definitely suffers for it. It leaves us with so many questions FROM THE GET GO

Milla Jovovich truly gave us EVERYTHING with this series. At the time, people didn't appreciate how much she fed us with this series. I am LOVING seeing the resurgence its having with reactors in the last few years, who seem to truly appreciate the campiness of the series which was so hated and put down at the time. The series is truly just an excuse to see one of the best modern female action stars of our time DO HER DAMN THING.

This movie knew what it was doing putting Ada in that red dress, the one she is wearing in the original RE 4. They really did right with the outfits and looks for everybody from the games. Leon, Ada, Barry, Jill, they all served. Seriously guys, if you ever have the chance to play the original, take it. Or at least watch a video about it or something xD

Retribution is amazing... Loved the Leon S. Kennedy video game to film adaptation. He looked on point. ALSO, BARRY! He was so hot!! Ada Wong too of course made the film much more amazing. This is the last good film before the final chapter because of the last huge dose of character returns. Final chapter presents a bleak finale, but it's still good. Hope y'all enjoy how this series turned out!

I like Li Bingbing as Ada, and I love Kevin Durand as Barry Burton (from the 1st RE game and from revelations 2). I did not like Johann Urb as Leon at all. I think some of his back-and-forth dialogue with Alice is some of the worst script writing and acting I've seen, so dry and lifeless from both of them when neither of them are terrible actors. Just a bad moment for them both. "Don't do this" "get out of my way" so emotionless. Someone else may have mentioned it too, but at the end of the previous movie, there is literally a blink-and-you-miss-it pixel of Wesker and a parachute floating away from the explosion as Luther West was coming out of the drain tunnel at the end.
