The beginning, being hated and had his every moves stalked by Wesker, then going to help his sister in Antarctica, fighting a cross dressing Ashford with a split personality disorder, fighting Wesker and watching his partner Jill fall to her death only for them to be reunited 2 years later after she was whooping his ass. These characters have been through hell and is still kicking which is crazy to me. Traumatic for him all the main characters. God I love Resident Evil.

If Resident Evil has taught me anything, its that RPG's solve most of life's problems. Seriously, how many finales end with an RPG and a helicopter.

Asking how many in this series is too easy; How many fuel tankers need to be blown up near a boss monster? How many lava and molten metal pools have to be used for a dramatic "is he dead yet?" moment? How many gigantic creatures would die to some small arms that hit their weak-point joints? How many more time are the main villains going to take more than 5 seconds to ready their ultra-punch to kill the already-captured protagonist? How many helicopters must be destroyed just because their pilots didn't have the protagonists' plot-armor? How many times would electricity be used to stun and damage the not-final-but-really-big monster? How many more facilities are going to have their self-destruct button which would set-off enough explosives to honor the Tsar-Bomba? (seriously, that's a safety hazard for the regular-day job at those facilities). How long would it take the government to suspect the main heroes for never catching the virus from the air like the rest of the population? How many times is the law of conservation of matter going to be disregarded as huge zombies expand out of normal-sized humans (and why is the same virus taking effect sometimes immediately and sometimes after hours)? If the BSAA had any brains, they'd send out remote-controlled machines to scout the enemy's base, and upon confirmation of zombies send in cruise-missiles to destroy the whole place. There's no logic in sending-in soldiers armed with 9mm and 5.56. And to be honest, some of the viruses did enhance their host rather than mutate him immediately (especially Wesker, though he needed constant doses). Why can't those be made more often instead of the ones that kill its host? And what kind of data did Umbrella and the other super-villain groups get from these incidents? "Mmm-hmm, yup. It seems that people biting each-other's face off causes death. And zombies die in large explosions. Fascinating."

It's like incinerating a cancer patient to see at what stage the cancer dies - it's not practical as a solution (and you wouldn't destroy a city with zombies, you can just cut-off their water supply). Regular weapons are about the same - they show some flaws in real-use, but there's really no point in "observing" their use in an overkill scenario.

That's the problem with the best ones, they're the result of random or pseudo-random mutations. The tyrants were made factory-style, so until they have their limiter removed they're immune to the nasty mutation side effect of creating a "weak" point (if it takes enough gunfire to incap it, and then a rocket, how weak is it really lol)

I only played RE4, and I like this video series, but from what I can tell from the things I see, I can't agree about liking the characters. They just refuse to die even when dealt incredible damage. Their constant cheating of death makes me think "this death was long overdue" rather than feel actual pity. The forced fan-service doesn't help either. Also, their decision to go storm an entire base (again and again) with a handful of people that have shitty rifles and no gas masks or full chem suits (when dealing with a VIRUS - the stuff that you would catch if the wrong person sneezes near you) makes me think that they're just asking to die. The only guy I liked so far was the grumpy old man on that island. I stopped watching just as I saw him dying to see if anyone would quote him on the "wash mouth with soap" sentence.

The ONLY thing I HATE about RE revelations 2 is how they killed bastardized Claire's character just to give Moira a spotlight scene with Natalia. CLAIRE REDFIELD is good with kids! She would never barrage a child with questions like that! Just look at how Claire interacts with Sherry From RE 2 and RE 2 Remake or Rani from Resident Evil Degeneration! But good timeline video all the same, I enjoyed it. @@GamerThumbTV It's a shame no one sees how deep and impacting the story of RE 6 is to the series, all because they hate the action like flow of the game. Honestly the story makes sense to me. I only wish we saw Jill in it, I know for a fact she would've been looking for Chris after he disappeared like that and had amnesia to boot. No way she would let him wander around alone and lost in more ways than one. Also, Simmons and Carla are truly great villains, regardless what the mass of idiots say, I liked RE 6 all in all. My only real complaint is the lack of exploration ability you had in the game, it mostly felt like you was always following a path than actually checking an area for supplies and things. Like compared to RE 4, the area of the levels felt... restricted.

@@unknowna8056 Honestly... yes, it's probably the only way those survival horror old school fans will even BOTHER to pay attention to the story and how well thought out it is as a series that evolves. I mean what did they always expect cities like Raccoon City to only be targeted? That targeting the world would never happen? No, it was bound to happen and be used in wars where soldiers actually give it their all to fight. Causing explosions, damages, and using their big toys like Chris's campaign. Wesker's son, Jake, is perfectly understandable why he is such a force to be reckoned with. Considering I've heard he was trained by Mr. Death or some Mercenary around his level, plus his immunity to the virus. Of course he'd be able to hand to hand those B.O.W.s around. As for Leon's campaign, I think only minor adjustments to the survival horror aspect is all that needed. Derek Simmons is a perfect villain for the series, same as Carla. It just goes to show how an obsession can lead a corrupt man with power, money, and influence can cause a deadly disaster. I mean sacrificing OVER 12,000 JUST for a cloning attempt shows how far off the deep end he is. Something I'm glad you agree with me on. A perfect villain material that is sadly underestimated by the mass idiots who can't see beyond the box.

wait now that I noticed, it all dawns on me. Why sherry and jake where paired up together. Is a Easter egg. The children of William and albert, the 2 original villains that first worked with each and betrayed and almost destroyed the world, now there children are the ones working together as friends and partners to save the world. How ironic, also I always thought it should have been sherry the one you control in jake part since it was always a old character paired up with a new npc. @@MegaDragonmark makes sense that it happened in this moment though. Time was of the essence, tension was running high, adrenaline pumping, emotions heightened. Jake being a fairly angry individual as is is, his father would've been clawing at the back of his mind the whole time because of the way it was revealed to him. So when the man who killed his father appeared what little bit of logical thought jake can actually pull together disappeared. Look at him throughout their entire campaign. He's very impulse driven, doesn't really think through things most of the time. He has all the wesker rage but little to none of the cunning.

I always found that scene with Claire, Moira, and Natalia to be really weird. Claire has had prior experience with children and knew perfectly well how to handle Sherry at a far younger age with far less experience. So why is she suddenly so insensitive towards Natalia despite being a veteran at all this and requires Moira of all people to show her how it's done? Just seemed really out character and it's one of the reasons why I never really became a big fan of Moira. She was ok at best.

Best justification I can come up with is Claire's repeated encounters with deadly BOWs hardened her since Raccoon City. In RE2 she was also scared af and so could effortlessly empathize with Sherry, while in rev2 she's shifted to battle mode when she meets Natalia. Having to protect moira who's *scared* of guns also puts her in a more aggressive mood. Moira going all "let me handle this" was really stoopid tho, I have no doubt that given a second to gear shift down to normal mode, she would have easily been able to interact with Nat just like the claire we know and love

Though I do feel bad her character got nerfed (or retconned) in the RE remake when she was very charismatic and became very capable towards the end of RE0. Ada had more internal dialogue and conflict in the OG RE4 and RE6 because she’s a lone wolf and has to question her motives. Whereas in the new RE4 she’s just more cutthroat and spylike, which is good. But Ada definitely could have used more dialogue than just witty quips. They definitely left a lot of the character’s mindset out this time, which is really important because as a spy we need to know what Ada is actually thinking

@@JoakimOtamaa Again, I think characterization was a missed opportunity in this one. Ada and Wesker responded as they did, but were missing the context/motives. Ada narrated a lot of internal discussion in the original, that’s where a lot of her mindset comes from. She was supposed to just front a cold demeanor as a spy, while the player was supposed to see her softer side through what she was thinking. RE4R seemed to cut that out, as we really only saw Ada’s actions and response. RE4R and SW should have elaborated more on Ada/Wesker’s relationship, because they clearly have a loose partnership that stems from Raccoon City and RE2R via the call she made in the sewers. Which also should have made up for a pseudo origin as to how she became a superspy after Raccoon, by training under Wesker. I think if Ada would have voiced her secret disdain for working under a madman like Wesker and intent to betray him, her character would have come off as more understanding. Because the player would understand that she’s just fronting a cutthroat attitude for her boss, as the OG was able to convey with Ada. As for Wesker, his qualities are there but of course we’re missing history. How he betrayed Umbrella for the same Organization Ada was already working for, which was just a ruse as well for him to enact his later doomsday, so the game in all was missing the grandeur chemistry that was Wesker, Ada, and Krauser all countering each other’s agendas. Which I think made the story more compelling when Ada came out on top as the master manipulator. I also miss his transatlantic accent too, it made him sound much colder and calculated than just brutish, which is only a quality of his by the end of RE5 when he’s fed up with Chris and Sheva. Otherwise he’s a scheming manipulator and turncoat for most of the franchise.

The original Resident Evil was one of the first games I ever played, and I loved the fact that it not only looked, but also the story felt very realistic. You had to make a few wild assumptions, but other than that, it felt like it could really happen in the real world. So when RE4 came out, the story was totally absurd and unrealistic, and even though I loved the game, it lost the most important connection I had with it. I know that games don't have to be realistic (almost none of them are), but RE had that little thing that made it special for me, so seeing it turned into a Hollywood action kind of story, with mind control, electric powers and all those kind of almost magical things, I don't know... This is the first time I got to see how the story went on after RE4, and I don't regret having missed it. But I love your videos, and I appreciate the care and effort that you put into them, thank you.
