I have listened to this set countless times with headphones, and recently bought a pair of Linn Ninka speakers. Today I sat down on my armchair and put this on. Originally I just wanted to briefly check what it sounds like. 1 hour, 29 minutes and just as many seconds later the trip was over. Give yourself a favour and play this on a decent set of speakers. The souncdscaping is pure bliss.

What's so innovative ? He's a great artist, creator and performer, but I don't see or hear what's so innovative.
@nickardasis45 жыл бұрын
Listen to his albums and eps, he's not just another electronic music producer. His albums are filled with tracks that are a mix of various genres like minimal, ambient, old school house, jazz chord progressions etc. There are tracks that sound like Bonobo, others that sound like underground/abstract techno, deep house beats all mixed delicately without overpowering the sound. I cannot label Floating Points as a techno DJ, or a House producer or ambient artist. He's very unique and his use of synths and arpeggios I something very few people can do. He's a true artist, not a DJ. Also check out Max Cooper, Four-Tet, David August etc.
