To coincide with the announcement, Benjamin also shared its lead single ‘Genesis’ as well as its accompanying video. A ‘Part Two’ will follow next year and could prove to be his final album - he professes to be an artist whose music is only one element of his creative journey, most notable with his debut acting role as Herald of the Change in Denis Villeneuve’s multiple Oscar-winning film ‘Dune’. ‘And I Have Been’ continues Benjamin’s adventures as a singular artist who delivers style, poise and poetry in equal measure. His experimental and at times avant-garde approach to chamber pop and his enigmatic presence, velveteen baritone and literary streak defies simple categorization. Thematically, ‘And I Have Been’ is about the rich tapestry of life and its fiercely unpredictable journey, touching upon love, loss, marriage, children and depression. It’s also an expression of changing self-awareness. The supreme self-confidence of young adulthood soon gives way to uncertainty, and instead comes the acceptance that every day is there to learn from.

is es nice? lohnt es sich? sind dort viele leute bei seinem konzert gewesen? weil jetzt des neuere album feier ich nicht soo… bin mir nicht sicher ob ich kommen sollte wenn des neue album nicht so arg meins ist, aber generell liebe ich diesen künstler und seine stimme mal live zu hören wäre bestimmt was einzigartiges!

@@11.06_aj generell kann man ja sagen, dass seine Musik recht eigen und besonders/speziell ist. Das erste Konzert damals für mich war im Konzerthaus Dortmund und er spielt immer in solchen "klassischen" Häusern und in Dortmund war meine ich nahezu alles ausverkauft. Breit gefächertes Publikum, legere/ordentliche Kleiderordnung, alles im Rahmen und "okay" (verkleidet oder Fehl am Platz fühlen möchte ich mich nicht). Mir hat es SEHR gut gefallen. Allein die Atmosphäre dort, dazu seine Präsenz und Stimme, die den ganzen Raum füllte. Es war auch nicht zu steif und er hat Leute teilweise zum Mitsingen animiert. In meinen Augen ist so ein Konzert in so einem Ambiente etwas Besonderes!
