Very solid work! It's a straightforward structure, well designed. I do like your spoiler mod - you'll find yourself using those things and you want them to work! You're going to have a delightful airplane to fly.

Looks like a very nicely made kit. R/E/S gliders are lots of fun, fly amazingly well, and aren't that hard to fly. The amount you can learn from such a glider about the intricacies of tuning and flying is insane.

Hello Andrew, I fly F5RES - basically the same glider as the F3RES but with a motor. You are not going to believe how well these things float, the only problems are the fact that they are so fragile, and that they will ruin foam for you. If you never intend to compete, I'd seriously consider adding a layer of fibreglass to the leading edge and fuselage before covering. You won't notice the extra weight but it'll take slope landings a lot better

Great looking KIT. Awesome looking design. Nice mod for the spoiler servo arms. That the two spoilers each have independent servo leads means could set up as spoilerons, if every needed more snappy roll control. (just open one up a bit at a time) Don't think need, but could be something to experiment with, once flying and trimmed.

Great video, been pondering on a RES glider but my flying sites are limited! Also our weather is not great for, what looks like, a very fragile glider. Look foward to your maiden!

I'm thinking about trying a Res glider this summer. Already have a second wooden DLG I'm working on so perhaps the next season. Looks like a great design. Love the sheeted leading edges over the simple carbon LE that's common.

tip for balsa sheet ,just spray water on it , it will curve in without cracking

2m wingspan and 420g wow! That sounds like the kind of plane that gets stuck in a thermal and you never see it again, be careful.

I had that happen with my first ever RC plane , it had no control surfaces just by differential thrust and power, was out of trim , got stuck in a thermal , it just went up and up till it couldn't be seen anymore .....

When building airplanes I hook up a fan from a computer to a USB connector for power and have it blow all those seems away put on my face
