I loved the key rings. Do you use a drill to get the eye hooks in the resins piece?

How about using a heat gun on low setting to heat the resin and that way you can also use it instead of a lighter when you go over it Edited I typed that before o got to the part where you said you had a heat hun etc

How to make the back of the pendant smooth? I would like to make a pendant with a picture inside, what should I do first? Thank you..

Hi Malot, to make it smooth I sanded down the rough edges with wet and dry paper starting with around 150 grit all the way to 2000 grit and then polished with turtle wax. For the picture you might want to laminate it, I tried playing cards in resin and they went a bit soggy.

How do you get the sandpaper to not scratch the resin? I used 200 grit and kind of messed it up.

Hi Vanessa, I normally start with 150 grit and then work my way through the different grits all the way to 2500/3000 and then finish with turtle wax. The higher the grit the finer the sand paper and the smoother the finish. The wet and dry I use is linked in the description.

Hi there, this may be a daft question sorry. But I am just starting out with resin and would like to know how do you work out the total resin to be used for each letter?

Hi Vicki, when I first got the mould I took a pipette with a millilitre measure on it and wrote down how much water it took to fill each letter. Just make sure you fully dry the mould before using it after.

How about filling the cup of hot water just enough so you can sit the cup of resin down in it, instead of holding it? It should take a couple minutes or more to get it right. That's a long time to hold it. Also, you only need to heat Part A. Part B had all the nasty chemicals in it. They turned out beautifully. Where is your accent from?

Piggy backing a little from this comment but you can also use a more shallow container and sit them completely

You can do, I have a cup cut in half too but the water cools down quicker.

Yeah I really like it but I don’t have much to compare it to. It’s so easy to use and non toxic.

It’s definitely helped me, the brand I use needs to be at 21-24C to cure too.
