A lava one would be cool, like a black, almost obsidian color with orange and red spilling out like lava around it, maybe some translucant brown or amber color mimicking rorocks or tectonic plates jutting out of the earth?

Typically when it comes to resins and dyes you don't mix the dye directly into your already mould-poured resin. You mix up a batch of dyed resins and then pour those into the mould (sometimes with a syringe to get those fine swirls) - that way you don't have drastically different densities at play, and then you don't need to use UV resin. Additionally, you don't need to fully mix the dye into the resin before you pour, that way you can have some inherent swirl in the base colour without needing to use a tool to add that (which generally results in missed patches).

I host a little DnD session myself now and then. And oh boy would I love it if there was someone creative and crafty like you at my table. I had one adventure as a DM where a Friend of mine that's super into Harry Potter asked me to write and host a game for her and her group. And she prepped everything. Wands, cloaks, scented candles, the food, the tableware... it was amazing. Not High Quality stuff, but all that love and effort for one adventure. We played barely 8h with a pause for the feast included. I guess all I want to say is thank you for creating actual preps for your DnD sessions. As a forever DM (so far) I can't appreciate enough the time and effort you put into the game. In fact, watching your videos makes me wanting more and more to pick up some tools and start learning these skills myself.

Don't forget that you can paint UV resin with a natural fiber brush by hand, and build them up layer by layer. Can also mix it with inks (alcohol ones, I think) and add normal nail polishes on top or between layers. I've seen some amazing freehand built rings done layer by layer here on KZbin.
@mudawott3 жыл бұрын
I don't do any traditional resin crafting but using resin as a glue is something we use a lot in resin printing. Welding thing to resing with with more resin really helps the strutural integrity. Also you might wanna wear gloves when using the uv resin, both so you dont get uv burns or sensitize yourself to the resin
