Definitely looks just like water surface reflection! Great job! Like someone else said, I would use a dropper too! Probably would be much easier to control than the stick.

A dropper would probably speed up the dropping process. Or maybe even a whole dropper bottle for bigger surfaces. Thanks for showing this technique.

Just a bit of constructive criticism, but why don't you add your ink/pigment/paint while stirring the original mixture instead of adding it after you pour? Seems like a pain in the butt to mix it while it's in a thin layer in the square container.

I couldn’t agree more.

i think he wants only but a portion of the resin to have color. so that's maybe why he mixes it after he pours it. I think this technique is genius.

Yeah an eye dropper or syringe would speed up the clear drops. Cool effect though!!

After you do the drops it sets in the white like layer to create that effect as it dries?
@KryssArt3 жыл бұрын
Do you let it dry a bit before you create Dots??
@isolde63193 жыл бұрын
Let the blue layer dry, the white layer needs to be wet so no do not let the the second dry before placing the clear. Otherwise the clear layer will not create the water look.

What pigments are you using?
@isolde63193 жыл бұрын
Acrylic paint can be used however there are specific dyes and alcohol inks you can use as well just don’t use too much or the resin will not set.
@Aangel4523 жыл бұрын
Is that white glue or white paint your adding. Doesn’t look like alcohol ink?
@isolde63193 жыл бұрын
You can use a drop of white paint to color resin. There are specific resin dyes or alcohol inks that can be used just don’t use too much or the resin will not set. I use acrylic paint to dye my resin or you can find dye online.

This didn’t look like a water reflection. Just looks like a blue square with white stuff on it.

I noticed this person doesn’t answer questions. If you have any resin questions you can reply to this comment and I can try to answer!

hi! Thats ver kind !😀What is this thing he drops and expands in 9:16 ?
@isolde63192 жыл бұрын
@@Bomkikgames So to acheive this effect, they have the blue resin layer that is hard resin. On top of that layer is a white layer that is not set yet, they then drip clear resin. The material they use here is called resin, it comes clear. So what hes dropping is just resin without dye into resin with white dye.
@vishakhatanna39853 жыл бұрын
You added drops of resin to create the effect or something else??
@isolde63193 жыл бұрын
It’s all resin layers. The drops are just clear resin with no pigment.
