My opinion on the stories is that on the 1st the girlfriend should make it clear that she doesn't want a long time relationship with the boyfriend because it seems like they aren't on the same page about it. Second story... Best father ever ✌ How do you want to teach your children to respect boundaries if you don't respect theirs?

If the ex went to high school with the bride then he could totally get his own invite, I don’t see the point in invalidating your current relationship by treating it as less serious. If girlie knew what was serious, she would’ve married the guy she’d dated for eight years. But it looks like she’s still comparing everything to him… her current bf needs to end it 😭 if you’re not dating for marriage, you’re dating for heartbreak-I would never stay in a relationship with someone who’s assuming it WON’T get more serious.

First story: Yeah, Op is the AH. Op could have told the one getting married; Hey, you know (Ex) is coming home during the time. If you have room and are willing, you should give him a last minute invite to the wedding. That way I can bring (Current bf) to the wedding. AND that way everyone is happy! I'd give her a 5/10 too Story 2: NTA! I hate that mentality of kids don't know what 'is best for them' or 'they're too young for ___' or the line of, 'he's lucky he's not my son. I would've corrected that behavior.' Kids are learning the world from scratch. They are not little dolls that you can play dress up and make them do what you want them to do. They have feelings, personalities, and are just humans too. We really need to stop treating kids like pets and start treating them like humans. They don't become a human at 18...That's not how biology works.
