Glad you revisited serious steel. i like the bands. The residue didn't really bother me, so it wasn't much of an issue to me. I built my own platform out of a 2x12, cost about $12 (plus i have all the tools required to build it, saw, sander, screws, etc) If I was in the market for a board I would definitely go with that geku platform. If it was available a year ago I would have bought it right away. Thanks for all the inspiration and ideas, I've built my setup largely based on your recommendations.

I cannot stress this enough to people. IF YOU ARE ABOVE 6 FEET, SKIP SUNPOW, SAVE FOR THESE BANDS. I tried doing a squat with the sunpow bands and snapped 3 of them just pulling it up the first time with the geku bar. Bought the serious steel bands and I could probably do an overhead at 6’3” I’m just a little to nervous from the sunpow trauma😂 Been doing the gamer body workout and while I’ve passed my visible newbie gains I feel stronger after one week 💪🏽

X3 did the EXACT same thing to me! It got better over time, probably due to residue wearing off.

I got a 3 piece set of these to replace my Undersuns after the Heavy one broke. They are very good and seem to offer more resistance size-for-size, unless the Undersun just got weaker over time. I took them into the shower to wash off the sticky powder!

Serious Steel bands are great. They often run a sale on their site so you can get about 10-15% off.

have you ever reviewed rogue, I have used numerous brands and they are the only ones that have actually held up for over 2 yrs with daily vigorous use, and not one has snapped

Serious steel is very good. I have the whole set. Like i told you before the best band I've ever used are the paraforce x3 bands but they are expensive. It sucks that you need to buy the x3 bar set first before you can order them. I'd help you get them if you ever wanted to try them.

Possibly. I have seen them before and they appear to be very similar to the Serious Steel bands. Does anything in particular appeal to you using them over Serious Steel or another brand?

@GamerBody I haven't tried either one. They're both expensive. I'm looking for resistance bands that don't get to much traction while I'm using The Step Platform. I tried others and they catch a bit on the bottom of the step platform and make it hard to balance out and level the resistance on both sides while using a bar for squats. From the reviews for both Serious Steel and Rubberbanditz, people have said they both last years. I've tried Eakrola and Iron Infidel. Eakrola is made by the same people who make Sunpow supposedly. The Iron Infidel bands are the ones that got to much traction. I didn't care for them. The Eakrola bands have been pretty good so far.

@@lifeisbeautiful3898 I actually think the UnderSun have been my favorite when it comes to easily setting up an exercise with the least amount of friction. Not sure if mine is just a luckier product, but the feel of them is a little different than Serious Steel and they glide better on The Step platform. They do have a bit more give than Serious Steel and Sunpow, but I did use the (and still have them) for over a year without issue. Might be something to look into.

@@GamerBodyI think you’d enjoy 37” and 32” Serious Steel bands for use with the smaller GEKU footplate. 32” band deadlifts and chest presses hit different.

Just for info you can build foot plate really easy under 80$ bucks that will last 3 generations. Never break never wear out bands

Are you asking what is the best rep range? I normally start with a resistance/weight where I fail around 5ish reps, work up to 10, then up the resistance back to 5 again. Repeat as you continue to get stronger.

Can i ask if you still use speediance and recommend it over bands? Been using bands but want to upgrade to spediance gym

I haven't used Speediance in a while as I am testing 50lbs dumbbells only right now, but the Speediance is excellent. It is pricey though which is why I don't promote it too much on the channel as most people who watch my videos won't be able to afford it. However, if you are someone who can , it is awesome and can really make training easy to follow while saving quite a bit of space.
