I used to get so nervous playing this game. Hahaha. But man, was this game so fun! The story is so good. I used to play this with my sister; couch co-op. I was sad when I found out that they took off the couch co-op in 2&3. My sister enjoyed this game too.

My father bought the ps3 a few months after it released, the first gem ps3, got the yellow light and got another one, didn’t have much money for games so I had a blast just replaying the same demos over and over until I was finally able to buy a game, resistance: fall of man, the multiplayer was awesome and I finished the story more than 3 times. Then resistance 2 came out and that just blew my mind at the time, really wish they’d remaster this. :/

This game was unique for so many reasons. firstly, while alien invasions during the 1950s are no new idea, instead of tripods or aliens with a design that looks like what we thought aliens would look like during that time, they went and invented an entirely new alien. I like the idea of a virus turning people into alien soldiers like a zombie plague, but turning you into a monster is only the beginning. you then pick up alien guns and start blasting other humans. like the Flood from Halo when they turned you into a monster, and if you happened to be holding a gun when it happened, they turn that weapon on your former allies. but even if the Chimeran army won in the end, they are all ultimately disposable. the Pure Chimera don't care. they just want the Earth. the virus is to create soldiers to terraform the planet for them. It's unlikely to happen, but I'd love to see a reboot of this.

ExpendableGuard Entertainment it depends on how quickly the chimera would be able to establish themselves on Helgan. Just due to the climate on that planet though, I’d say it wouldn’t be realistic for the chimera to survive for very long, never mind an entire population of millions of armed, heavily trained and militarized soldiers. On earth they swept through a post-war shattered Europe but it took them a year of building up their strength in Russia. Even then, they weren’t able to finish off humanity, and if resistance 3 is to be believed, the chimera began to get pushed back to eventual defeat entirely. A war between the the Helghast and Chimera at full strength though? Perhaps after the chimera took vekta or some other colony and quietly built up an army to invade helgan? That would be interesting.

0:40 Is that an updated version of Resistance? When I saw the trailer, it shows the modern map of Europe not the 1936 one. The 1936 map makes more sense since the game takes place in 1951 and in this world World War 2 never happened.
