Great to watch all your videos. A slight reminder for testing rotation shoulder by slightly positioning into flexion if focus is on deep rotator cuff. Thanks dears

Excellent videos! Could you PLEASE do a video which discusses shoulder exercises that should be omitted from resistance training protocols due to the risks involved to the shoulder complex, and recommended modifications to exercises to increase safety for shoulders? That would be most helpful and appreciated!

Can you do best positions for isometric strengthening rather than just testing. Especially for anterior deltoid, posterior deltoid,teres major, etc

is it a good way to also test the flexion/extension, abd/add bilaterally as you do in the elevation/depression, protraction/retraction?

You always want to compare sides. Some people argue that it's hard to distinguish both sides when testing at the same time and with different hands (left+right). Others say they can compare better when the movements are tested at the same time. Up to you if you know what you are doing and have a good reason for it.

Hey John, The goal of Resisted Isometric Testing is to find out whether the pain is myogenic, meaning coming from the muscle/tendon.

Are resisted isometrics used to rule out different muscles which could be a structural impairment in a given case?

Not specific enough for single shoulder muscles. It can give you a quick impression though about musculotendinous involvement and strength even though reliability is not too high.
