We do not recommend tightening the straps of your masks beyond the point where they are comfortable. They should be snug but not too tight. If your straps are snug but leaks still occur, please reach out to your medical equipment supplier for further assistance.

I LOVE my F30i! I sleep better, no leaks (I always check ‘mask seal’ on my Resmed For Her machine first) and I sleep MUCH better with this than my F20!! I’m also a side sleeper, but I DID ditch my other pillows and bought one specially for CPAP side sleepers. I also LOVE the fact the tubing attaches to the connector at the top of my head, this gives me more options for sleep positions and never gets in my way. I just wish I could use the same elbow connector as my F20 as I have a few spare connectors. But hey, overall it’s 100% better. And no, I’m not paid by Resmed or anyone else. I’m just a regular farmers wife! I would NEVER go back to my F20 now. I really can NOT understand why people are having so many problems.

It may also help to examine your mask leak rate with myAir to see a trend of your recorded data. This can help you determine if the leak you are experiencing is intentional or unintentional, as intentional leaks will not be counted in your data. It may be a good idea to run a Mask Fit test and make adjustments to the fit as needed to maintain a good seal at higher pressure levels. The user guide for your machine offers step-by-step instructions on how to run a Mask Fit test. Once you receive a “Good” result, you should be good to go. If you're unable to get a good seal result with your mask, we'd recommend reaching out to your respiratory therapist or medical equipment supplier for further assistance through an in person mask fitting.

@ResMed
@ResMed 2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Depending on your mask style and where the air is coming from, this may be normal. All of our ResMed full face sleep masks are equipped with exhaust vents and anti-asphyxia valves. The vents in the mask constantly exhaust air when therapy pressure is applied to minimize rebreathing of exhaled breath. If you're having trouble determining if a leak is intentional or unintentional, examine your mask frame and cushion for any tears or cracks, and replace any parts that show damage. It may also help to examine your mask leak rate with myAir to see a trend of your recorded data. This can help you determine if the leak you are experiencing is intentional or unintentional, as intentional venting leaks will not be counted in your data. And to be clear, all my equipment is brand new and still leaks from those holes and your software calls it a air leak as if we are wearing it wrong! This mask is absolute trash. I was persuaded by my sleep expert to get the F30i and I tried sleeping with this only to have it wake me up each night after an hour or two because the leaks would always be so bad no matter how many times I would try and adjust it. I would score a big fat 0 every night on the mask seal score. After 6 months trying I finally gave up. I went to cvs and bought a full face mask (f20) and my first night scored a 100 sleep score and the mask seal was absolutely fantastic compared to this cheap good for nothing piece of garbage. Do yourselves a favor and just get the full face mask if you are a mouth breather because this mask will never give you a good night sleep.
