As someone else already stated, it has been made evident that this is supposed to be an interpretation of ancient Calradia NOT Europe. That is why the Scythians are called "Saka", the Dacians "Dryatics", and Carthage "Quyaz", none of the factions are supposed to be the real life culture groups, just a Calradic spin on them. As such the devs don't reallly intend on converting the overworld map to Europe.

I really want a BannerLord mod based on Ancient Middle East / Mesopotamia , that period of history gets no love for whatever reason even though the wars back then were crazy imagine : Babylon , Assyria , Hittites , Egypt , Persians going to war with each other

Fun fact; the Saka were also a tribal nomadic group for the Eurasian steppe, and were of Iranic origin too.

Good that we have the choice to change the faction colour. I would also take Yellow for them and Red would fit more for the Sarmatians, which replaced the Scythians after some time.

Hope soon multiplayer will get more attention. I know that there's independent servers now, but it's nothing compared to Warband multiplayer with mods (like Deluge)

I'm glad Eagle Rising are focusing on their own thing while the Europe map team is focused on theirs. Let's both mods be as good as they can be and be out at a relatively reasonable time. Combine when polished i think.

would be nice if the mod incorporated the fighting strategy that the Romans actually used instead of having them mindlessly charge in as a blob like all the other factions. The Pila is a nice touch tho

I remember a good Greek Era mod for Warband. That was probably the Early Roman Era and there were Gauls as a faction. Something like that for Bannerlord would be great with a map of Greece, Rome territory and some parts of Gallia.

Dacians didn't use chainmail and they wore not barbarians, they settled north of Danube and in the Carpathian mountains. Romanians claim them and the Romans to be their ancestors wile Hungarians deny even the existence of Romanians. Is a pity the Dacian banner, Dacian Draco did not get in as is one of the most interesting banners of the era. Is a wolf head dragon up on a lance wich when catches wind seems alive and makes sound like a 106 AD Stuka bomber. Dacians wore mainly farmers, shepherds and beekeepers and not too aggressive, what made them bad asses was the religion that celebrated death, they even did human sacrifices, sending noble blood children as emissaries to Zamolxes.

The pillae on the backs really look terrible. That may sound weird but spears stuck to the back like magnets is what prevents me from getting into M&B. It's worse for roman legionaires when i know the pillum goes behind the scutum.

I'm still upset about the Europe map not having Constantinople literally one of the most infamous and important cities of EVRY time medieval and ancient period after it....don't get me wrong I love this map and the effort and time put into, its a good and well put together map and its beautiful but I'm still a little upset that Greece doesn't exist....and also Jerusalem doesn't exist witch was also an extremely important city still a beautiful map...maybe slightly disappointing but I gotta think about that more

Tactics get no love in this game: Tbis game is loved because it’s puts us in the soldiers seat. But what about commander? What about terrain bonuses and means of victory? How about traps and changing of weaponry witching your soldiers. Or start with the basics.

To be honest the only faction I'm interested in is the Mongols which seem to be replaced completely by something I haven't heard of :( Edit: Ok this is set around before Christ so that makes perfect sense 😅

Can anybody help me, I use nexus to get the mod but it tells me I need additional files and crashes. Also it doesn't launch from steam anymore. I have to go into the files ( streamapps/common/bannerlord/ ect. ) and launch native from there to even run the game. I've tried using vortex and removing harmony or running only harmony and always the same error, missing files or doesn't launch

There’s videos out there explaining how to download it and what to remove to make it work for eagle rising. You probably need to update the mod, because of a recent banner-lord update

Greek inspired factions are in the works. I think they plan to have some factions that are based on city states like Athens/Sparta and some sort of Diodokhoi inspired faction.

You can get it by joining the patreon and they have a version with Carthage on there. At least they did in the past, i have it for 1.7.0

I'm still not using any other mods except NPC overhaul after I've tryed few armor mods. All of em are buggy & making my game unstable. Even more then that - all those armors from mods looks too clean & new and that breaking immersion form me in every way. I wish modders could make their armors to look at least a little bit worn.
