You can do it as a team, if you want. In my first game of captain mode, we all went peasants and rushed. They never saw it coming.

@@justrobin8155 yeah, last waves are unreal in Horde mode in Mordhau. It requires some bug usage, like when AI stucks into some obstacle or is moving back and forth. The horde is still throwing rocks, arrows, etc, so you have to find some real sneaky positions, and have enough players doing that, so random arrow burst damage into a single person won't ruin the whole game. I've done this with some random people on Camp map. Passed all 21 (or is this 20?) waves. I would say it's interesting till the wave 10, - you learn how to wield some weapons, but after this wave it becomes some absurd, and only makes you learn the bugs, not actual mechanics.

That's honestly pretty brilliant. A PvE mode with waves upon waves of peasants storming a castle held by a team of players. Get points for every kill and every wave completed, find weapons around the map. Just like in Mordhau. That'd be awesome

Unless it was just that one map i was on, if you are def a base (and is really really out numbered), you can always open the gate at the start and tell all your unite to attack, or atleast, follow you. If the enemies have 2 big tower and a ram, just charge those thing 1 by 1. The enemy will march up to your stuff before they will ever attack you, so, you have all that time to deal dmg to their number. I personal like to see if i can solo cap a base, or, try to rambo it into thier base and open the gate, just for my army to charge in.

I wish they would make looters use slings instead of just tossing stone. The damage would make more sense then and making it possible to then pick up stones as a last resort would be great. And obviously if you don't have a sling equiped you'll just be tossing stones :)

Just a friendly FYI: siege is not a verb. You can besiege a city (surround it with your army) or you can assault a city. A siege is when the city or fortress has been besieged.

Dude in early game or when I'm in a young kingdom ya I prioritize peasants pretty high die to that free upkeep

you forget that they need to eat too... so no matter if you put them in your castle or take them with you you have to get tons of food plus they will slow your army down, I try to use as much cavalry as possible because campaign map mobility is maybe the most important thing for a long time into the game and putting 300 horses into your army to negate that a bit is rather expensive too and then in the first battle against numerous enemies you'll lose dozens of them and recruiting them is more difficult than regular militia also you can easily pay upkeep for 100 tier 6 units with just a few caravans and workshops and maybe a single town the only upside I see to them is they would be good cannon fodder if they were easier to recruit

Has anyone else noticed that weapons you forge and sell in a town will probably end up being replicated and sold by the NPCs? Also i had a sword that i made and named DeathSpank, didn't even sell it, just equipped it and it show up as a tournament reward. It was the same sword stats and aesthetics. Idk if it's a glitch but it's awesome.

I somehow managed to win a battle against 1,000 imperials with around 300 Battanian skirmishers/wildlings, 30 fians, and a handful of cav. I would love to see another Battanian vid but foccused on their wildlings. Thanks for the content, you're doing a great job :)

How I'd do it: (fast and cheap "peasanty" ways, not efficient) If my units are decent and got shields: Make a ram, get ram to gate, have everyone hold their shields (F3 F2 if I recall correctly?), then F1 F2, and just get in there. If harvesting season (peasants): one single siege tower, and again get all the troops near it, loose formation so that as much arrows as possible are missing. Eat your cereal.

Unlock companion limit via mod, add level one companions to your party using dev console, build an army. Test. (Im assuming this would be the end all be all to testing units considering you can fully customize them and build them to your liking, and the longer the game goes on, the stronger they become.) Depends on the city. A city with full siege weapons, so no battering ram gets to the gate, meaning only siege towers (which the ai doesnt use)? Infinite. Doesnt matter what army you besiege it with. I had 150 fully upgraded units (sergeants, sharpshooters) and 800 more units in my army against militia of 150 and a garrison of 50 mostly recruits. so 950v200. 2 men survived IN AUTOMATIC CALC! In the real battle the defenders only lost like... 50 men

Using 3 siege approaches isn't the smartest idea. Siege towers are nice when the ai use them properly and line the first line of the plank before forcing in... but the battering ram start is superior. and if you use trebs to just hit the door instead of all the other shit it works alot better too lmao

The loss of frame rate I think relates to the smoke in specific castles. I'm having no lag at all even in 2000 strong battles, but in one of the castles with a lot of smoke, framerate is half

The siege towers are broken, completely useless since your soldier will either refuse to use them(after commanded to use them) or the enemy is just cutting them down before they climb off the ladder Also whats the point of building catapults and balistas when the defenders will be able to ~3 of them by the time you set up the siege and start building your first, then they will focus fire anything you built and destroy it. Not to mention that with the rate of xp and skill earning we currently have in the game, getting siege skill points is pretty impossible, unless you fancy attacking 100 time with a sure loss just to get some xp for a "read" battle somewhere in the future
