However, the properties and amenities basically remain the same. Some rooms/suites have undergone subtle decor changes and some villa exteriors have been repainted in a fresh colour. Overall, these renovations do not greatly differ from what you see in this video.

Yep. I’m going in May. With the luxury package you can visit all of the properties and restaurants.

For those who went whats the best for 2 young adult tulum or akumal

It used to be that Tulum was the lower-end and more affordable section of the resort, and the luxury property of Akumal was much higher priced. Due to Tulum's recent upgrades and the fact that Akumal is still awaiting its renovation, the two resorts are pretty evenly priced at the moment. However, as a higher-end property, Akumal will give you more options for dining, entertainment, and beach/pool access. Without knowing the ages of the young adults, it's hard to say which resort would be better suited to their needs.

@@whitetrash3468 As we previously stated, Akumal allows for far more access to the various restaurants and amenities on Bahia's massive property. So if the two resorts are still competitively priced, it makes more sense to opt for Akumal.
