It is not, for most. The lack of the information about their noise tech, and comparing it only to their previous gen is concerning. If you have LE Audio/Auracast enabled TV and phone (you'd need a very recent one) it might be worth it, since you'll be able to connect to them directly and efficiently.

Its marketing. Why would you compare the newest hearing aid to older models than the last one? No one does that. It means that the hearing aids are improving with every new model and if i said to you that the Nexia has better sound to noise ratio then Enya (old resound model) by 1000% is this information imaginable for you? Much more digestible is that the Nexia improved SNR by 30% vs Omnia.

After knowing more about the aids, yes they are worth upgrading into these aids; especially if you required improved SNR. Plus the top of the line model allows considerable more fine tuning and customization vs. any current competitor aids.

Thrilled to hear that some makers are already starting to build LE Audio capability in! The promise is so great but the threat of all the HA manufacturers waiting for greater roll out while the venues waited for greater penetration promised a game of chicken that wouldn't serve anyone best. Bravo ReSound and anyone else leading this charge!

Exciting stuff! I HOPE ReSound will also spread this to their Beltone Family also..... Also very happy to see ReSound (and i hope Beltone....) now have a Cross Aid. This will be huge and help cut the ties with ReSound / Beltone having to utilize their competition to fit Cross/BiCross patients.

So just a point of clarification, the accelerometers in the new ReSound aids has nothing to do with microphone directionality or knowing when one is moving or stopped etc, it is only used for the ability to double tap the aid to answer calls directly via the hearing aids.

What I want is a new type of bi-cross solution that enhances the sound in the bad ear and also transmits the sound from the bad side to the better side. As I have some hearing left in my bad ear; I want to make use of that, not just rely on sound being transmitted to the better ear. I tried a bi-cross solution for some time four years and it was not very helpful in most situations.

Hey Erik, A BICROS should help with that if it’s programmed correctly. I’ve had some great success with them! All manufacturers now have one so it may be worth trying again. Thanks for commenting, Matthew

I have resound key 4 and I definitely have trouble figuring out where the sound is coming from. Is this because key 4 does not have accelerometer?

Fun Fact: I COULD NOT get the mini mic to work on the peloton. I finally figured out that when I pug it in the Peloton volume goes to zero. Isn't that weird? so I just have to turn it up lol. @@HearingTracker

Bluetooth LE Audio/Auracast "sounds" wonderful, BUT how many places actually HAVE implemented it and how long will it take for them to do so???? I really hope all of the aids actually include a T-coil for connectivity NOW and probably for the next 10 years!
