Something that not many people know of people who do not follow a series as complete as it is fate and only know fate by fate Zero is how much it meant Iskandar for Gligamesh, Gligamesh is self-proclaimed the true and last true king of mankind, for him anyone who declares himself a king is nothing more than a fake, and anyone who achieved a feat whose weapon is attributed some mystical aspect is because that weapon was originally his according to him, He is the king of everything, and every treasure in this world is his since he is the king of the world and of man, he is the proudest being that exists on the face of the earth and Iskandar managed to earn his respect, to the extent that he not only used his treasures against him, but he used them all, at all levels, the artifacts of his celestial vault, the sword that could destroy the world, and the chain of Enkidu, his most valuable treasure, representation of the one whom in life he acknowledged as his only true and best friend and whose power is to stop especially those with divine blood in their veins, the more divine you are the harder it is to get rid of the chain, that was a beautiful wink as Iskandar is the self-proclaimed son of Zeus (the chain was also used against Heracles although for other reasons) and even stained the sacred sword EA with the blood of the King of conquerors and before dying he invited him cordially to his garden which figuratively speaking would be paradise recognising him as an inhabitant and guest of his kingdom (as someone with the permission and dignity to call himself king and perhaps even as what could have been a friend) acknowledging his intention to save Waver and leaving his Master alive so as not to tarnish the honour of Iskandar and Gligamesh. When I learned all of that, it make me even cry harder every time I watch the scene.

I use to rewatch this scene ocasaionally and each time feels like the first one. Sadly, assuming Gil wouldn't use those chains of him to stop blow from Iskandar Result would be all the same but with wounded Gil or with a draw. I don't remember Vawer being aware of his healing abilities or not at that time because of Rider's most serious fight earlier was only that one with Saber with outcome safe enough for not using the healing but the wounds Iskandar got during the last charge here were just to deadly as I see it
@qstar1237 Жыл бұрын
if Gil couldn't use his chains he just wouldnt have let rider get that close. Even if rider did get close Gil would've folded him in cqc. UBW makes Gil look bad in that area but Gil is physically a powerhouse even without the gate. He was matching saber in a sword fight.
