Men need to be respected and to feel proud, and to know that their woman supports them, pushes them forward, and loves what they do. That’s what men need. But women, on the other hand, women need to be loved unconditionally. As Muslims, it is incumbent on us to respect our husbands because it's deserved and not because it's earned, and that is one aspect of respect. The other aspect is that when you show your spouse more respect, in return you will get more love because respect to a man is maybe more important than love.

My wife respected me, even when I was a real jerk. She didn’t accept my behaviour and she was upfront with her criticism, but she always respected me (even though I would sometimes disrespect her). She never lowered herself to the point of disrespect. Her behaviour, (eventually) compelled me to understand what respect actually was and of course, to respect her. She is the most giving, righteous and respected woman I have ever seen.

this correlate to what Dr JP said and what Pearl said, men need to be chivalrous and be respected, otherwise they would falter and weak. women need men to provide, better than self reliant and proud, submission make men realise, attitude make men go away or crazy, look at what black women did in america. exactly why Rasulullah s.a.w said this important reminder, this difference make the couple complete, which is beautiful. please mothers and future mothers, without women, men would be bitter and not cry, even humankind would fall wit birthrate plummeting. complete household is most important for children. we were fine before this equality concept come in, divorce rate isnt high which initiate by largely women. humble is the way foward, say if both party is superior, how would the tie be intact and immovable. accurate hadith cause its natural and make sense. submitting isnt weak, it makes the faith and status higher in the eyes of others and to All Knowing God. hope your story enlightened others and everlasting.

@@sabuninan5064( this is a long lecture ) are u sure that u understand the working and rules behind these terms or are u just saying those terms coz if u really knew the working behind them u wouldn't even talk how Islam has those . Polygamy is allowed not mandated and there are many people out there having multiple girlfriends and those girls know that the boys has many other girls too yet there comes a problem for you when we are allowed to have four wives at a time with the condition that he loves them all the same and the previous wife/ves would have to agree for the next marriage having a single one is hard enough and u think allowing of polygamy is a problem? Sexual slavery, it was a normal tradition among every kingdom to slave the people of enemies and sexual slavery isn't a term used to define having sex with slaves but it is a term used to the slaves who consent to have sex. Forcing the consent or forcing themselves without consent comes under rape not sexual slavery! Mutta was prominent before the era of prophet Muhammad and after his revelation and prohibition of that as it considered a deal and prostituion no matter the process they take and it degrades the value of nikah so yeah mutta was wrong. Mysiar is a consensual marriage so it's the decision of husband and wife soon to be and should have consent it's not still clear if it comes under dealing or not but it's still under a conditional law to allow this. Urfi marriages are two kind which is secretive marriage without any consent with the spouses guardian which is not permissible and one under the consent of guardian yet keeping it a secret from government or Sharia. While it might be a problem if it's his Frist marriage with the same girl coz it might involve his social and financial status sharing with wife and legality of his wife over his property which was still against islamic law but there are cases where either of spouse does a thing which removes them from Islam and make them non believer and this cause their marriage to be broken (as in divorced) so without having to announce others that I became a non believer and broke my marriage with my wife they perform a urfi marriage so this marriage is kept secret from government and Sharia but they were already legally married and haven't legally divorced so it doesn't go against islamic law. And yeah urfi is a secretive marriage not a secondary secretive marriage a second marriage comes under law of polygamy. And triple talaq is a protective mechanism of the relation ship. Let's say if I say something like get out of my house or I'm divorcing you to my spouse in anger or for fun even tho it's not my intent to , it still comes under a talaq coz the damage the words done doesn't matter with your intent so to protect their relation ship from these there are three chances and that's called triple talaq while it's is prohibited in Islam to give those three talaqs at a time like I want to divorce divorce , divorce which is against islamic laws too and most of the Islamic countries made it illegal too. And marriage halala well in case if it nots a instant triple talaq and they made three talaqs seperately but still wish to be with each other it's haraam but to have a chance to get together either of the spouse must marry another and get divorced without any external factors. So interns of modern terms it's called getting back together. U see most of them are legal in western culture and Asian countries too while the names in Arabic just makes u feel them different our laws are even more rigid thn westerners and gives women more power and nothing can be done without consent. Forced consent comes from culture not Islam. And the thing about bearing the wife is has to be allowed coz if I caught mu wife cheating on me why woudnt I beat her. U gotta know that the level of beating is different if the bruises of my beating doesn't go away within few days after beating then that amount of force is permissible but if it's harsh beating then the man would be held responsible for it as a sin as much as u feel that women are being harrased we can't beat them unless its the case of betraying the relationship and I can't beat her if it's just a minor disagreement. If she spent some extra money I can't beat her so it's better if u get know the entire concept and it's permissibility before talking about it. If I say that theres a word incest in English dictionary I don't say that western people are legalising incest right? Having a term for something which was either legal or illegal doesn't make it legal and there conditions in which illegal can become legal. In case of killing for a reason or with no reason is illegal while killing for self defense is legal so I hope u get the point

@@junaidhassan7091 Alhamdulillah, you were able to change. I am my husband’s second wife. His first wife ran away after being married to him for 7 years. She had two children from him and she left/asked for a divorce. I was his second marriage, he told me that his first wife was crazy and that is why the marriage failed… if you believe that every Muslim wife can change a man just by being good to him, then I guess Sayida Asia, May Allah be pleased with her, she should have tried harder with Firawn. There are Muslim men who have bad akhlaq and hypocrisy exists. And if a person is arrogant, then he becomes resistant to change. That is just a fact. That is why the Messenger, Peace and Blessings be upon him, mentioned two qualities one should seek in a husband, deen and khuluq. Do not speak unless spoken to. Earn my keep meant pay ALL THE BILLS while his income went in the bank. Prefer some of the Muslims ways. I had 2 friends who had arranged marriages. Their new husband did not expect sex from them until they were ready to do so physically and emotionally. I am aware this is not always the case as in " The Girl in the River "

Your book left out the tenth plague of Egypt, while also denying the crucifixion and resurrection. It doesn't mention the tenth plague and the people being saved from it. You fell for being deceived by evil. They were commanded to slaughter an unblemished lamb and put its blood on the doorposts. Exodus 12:13 "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt." There was a passing over the houses, that's why it's called passover. They were saved from death.

I think it's about having your own personal integrity despite what your spouse is doing. Love can help bring and keep people together but it can also blind people and keep them in a toxic relationship. I think if you get to a point where you are no longer able to give unconditional respect to your spouse you either need to find a way to mend the relationship or sacrifice it rather than compromise your ability to maintain that respect. Respect for your husband or wife is the foundation of a relationship, without it, it is hollow and very fragile. And potentially very destructive.

There is no mention in the Quran where Allah instructs Husbands to obey their wives, but only verses which command them to treat us fairly. The Men are in charge of us. We are not in charge of them. They are allowed to discipline us. Why is Hell mostly going to be filled with women? Because shaytan will lead us into disobeying and disrespecting our Husbands! Coz Allah has created number of women more than number of man, these days malauvies are using the half of hadeth out of context and telling us... Please go and read Hadeeth and Qur'an by yourself. Secondly Alllah and our nabi ((Saw) has ordered us to respect husband because they do hard work to feed us, to raise our children, expenses of wife and family are more than to go to prostitute but still men prefer to be with his wife. But those men who don't fullfill their duties, and still want themselves to be respected, is something we have to think about it. But still as a human we must respect each other, and do not misbehave. Those man who women beater, they must not be respected and also women must leave him. Thirdly Islam has not come to accomodate any gender, it's the religion who has told us not to hurry your daughters alive, not sell and purchase women, pay respect to women, Give them right in the property, Islam was only religion who gave the permission to do business, while in other world like in west people were busy in witch hunting and in East people were busy in setting fire to women in the name of Sati. So don't think that women are not to be respected, yes we must respect to our husband but not unconditionally. Allah never said to respect your husband unconditionally, that's why Allah and the paigambar (saw) gave the women the right of khulla, if your husband is not treating you well and not doing justice with you you have all the right to be separate with him, if a woman respects her husband unconditionally, she can never ask for Khulla in ill treatment.

There is an extra degree of respect that the wife has to give to the husband because he has been given the *responsibility* of leading the household. Think of a leader and his followers - the leader of course has to respect his followers too but there is an extra degree of respect for that leader. As a woman I don’t find anything wrong with that. But hopefully every husband will also treat this responsibility very seriously and care for those under his leadership, if he doesn’t then he will have to answer to Allah SWT

You ain't get this one here. Women have no problem of giving UNCONDITIONAL love. But they do have a problem with giving unconditional respect. That is why they give it under the CONDITION of being ,,treated well". It's harsh but men don't need love. They need to be respected. They want to be respected just because of the fact that they are the husbands. Not because they did something good or ,,treated her well in the past". Doing those things is part of their job. They don't want to gain respect for that. Respect should be immanent; just like an axciom. On the other hand men struggle with giving unconditional love. The chance of receiving love or the love itself decreases for a woman when she does things her husband don't like. So in short, men struggle with giving unconditional love and women struggle with giving unconditional respect although those are the elements both need desperately from their counterpart. It's kinda bizarre but logical.

But what happens when you try to tell them dozens of time, time after time and they are not listening, they get up and all of a sudden it's an emergency for them to do something each time. So you cannot communicate with this person. If you have someone who listens than you have truly a gift.

This is not true dear sister. Obedience and respect has been specifically COMMANDED to us by Allah, and nowhere does it say that it needs to be conditional. May Allah forgive our sins and lead us towards submission to our Husbands and keep us away from punishment in this life and the Hereafter. Ameen.

Otherwise it leads to disaster like divorce, one person fulfilling their duties whereas the other isn’t. The west has got it twisted, they adopt the idea of freedom for women but still require a traditional man, but that’s just a fairytale. Logically I wouldn’t want to be someone who isn’t fulfilling their duties and responsibilities if I am. Let’s not bend and mend the religion to suit the either the women or man’s narrative please regardless of how tough it can be because it is for both but that’s sacrifice

Allah and His Prophet (Muhammad PBUH), emphasize specifically *respect and loyalty* from the wife, while at the same time *commitment to provide and compassion* from husband. Why? Because these respective character traits are the most naturally challenging for each respective spouses to overcome especially during hardtimes! And it goes without saying that the practice of Narcissistic traits destroys marriages and relationships in general from within!

no one in the comments is understanding her point. Both men and women have to respect each other, however if you’re being mistreated what Islam advises is you simply try to work it out or leave. No where will you find disrespect acceptable only through a condition. This isn’t what Islam teaches us. You be kind, do your part and the other person will reap whatever they’ve sown, as nothing goes unnoticed in the eyes of Allah. If Allah tests you with hardships will you rebel? If your parents treat you unfairly is that a free-pass to unload your stress on them? Make it make sense. Respect surely is earned but certain people of such high stature in your life provided to you by your Lord deserve nothing but unconditional respect.

I choose to give the benefit of the doubt based on how that person interacts with their soundings. And I will respect you until the moment I feel disrespect coming at me.

Just as Andrew tate said that "between love and respect, I would choose respect" I gave this example because you might think that the man should earn the respect but, believe me sisters and brothers (though the brothers already know), respecting the man is seriously important as he works hard and dodges haraam stuff and all that and he expects serious respect and attention from the SPOUSE, ESPECIALLY AND NOT BE IGNORED BECAUSE THE HUSBAND/WIFE IS BUSY IN PHONE.

For all the Feminist showing up here: If you do not like what she says this means that you do not like what the Prophet PBUH said which is a very close act to Kufr (May Allah protect us). But no! By your Lord, they will never be ˹true˺ believers until they accept you ˹O Prophet˺ as the judge in their disputes, and find no resistance within themselves against your decision and submit wholeheartedly. Allah SWT says we are not true believers until we submit wholeheartedly to the Prophet PBUH. If he PBUH says something, we say "Sure, Ofcourse O Messenger of Allah" ! He PBUH said: [Mishkat al-Masabih 3254] Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When a woman observes the five times of prayer, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of paradise she wishes.” *Classified as Sahih by Al-Albani* Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Any woman dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah". *Classified as Hasan Sahih by At-Tirmidhi*

And Allah SWT also said: Al-Ahzab - Verse It is not for a believing man or woman-when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter-to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray.

The problem with this is that it is a short video and we don't know if she addresses any of those issues in the full lecture. This is why I find these short videos very annoying. People edit the videos to sound how they want it to sound rather than a wholesome video. Short videos are only useful for things that can actually be explained clearly in the minute that it is allowed.

@@naimac2744 she clearly stated if he treats you badly to continue showing respect. That's wrong. Imagine women who want to learn about Islam and our beloved Prophet (pbuh) who never treated a woman badly, ever. And would not endorse a man treating a woman badly and clicking on this to learn about Islam and then hearing her say just take abuse and stay respectful. I heard once a woman went to the Prophet(pbuh) and complained her husband said to her 'i think of you as my mother' (meaning he did not find her attractive anymore) - and the Prophet(pbuh) called the woman's husband and said you must fast for 40days for insulting her. Our beloved Prophet (pbuh) did not say to the woman just keep showing respect and sit there and take it. I could be wrong about that story, just came across it during some research but haven't checked its source 100%. But the point I'm making is Islam would never allow a woman (the school of the next generation of the Ummah of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) be abuse and spoken to badly to feed a man's ego, when there are MUCH more important things a Muslim woman's life is about.

This is not true dear sister. Obedience and respect has been specifically COMMANDED to us by Allah, and nowhere does it say that it needs to be conditional. Where is the “respect” to the woman from a husband??? That’s the real question. Give respect and take respect! I need that respect and obedience from him! Also it’s horrible how people being brainwashed by these sexist books written by men. Created by men. Then brainwashed the woman now the society is stuck. As a woman , I should be leading my family! It’s very disrespectful to say a man is a head of the household. I am capable of being that breadwinner or in taking care of my family financially. If I’m the best fit , so be it. Don’t say a man is supposed to do this or do that. Don’t . Also a woman isn’t a subordinate or submissive person. This is even more disgusting and disturbing that people are being brainwashed like this… a partnership should be equal.

Statistically speaking, children raised into single moms households tends to turn to crime and delinquincy while children raised in singl e dads household tends to do better at school and life in general zs much as children that were raised into a households with both parents. Go ahead with your belief that women can lead just as good as men but matriachal societies doesn't exist in this world for a reason, they are a failing societal system. Women have their own role in society and it's to raise the future generations while not being burdened by other chronopahe tasks such as providing. Im assuming you are from a Western country, so just look at the shape of your country on a social scale and see for yourself what this whole crappy "women empowerment" movement lead you to; social unstability, rise of suicide and general depression, divorces, children out of wedlock wich 85% turn into criminals...etc and i can still go on for hours explaining why the West is bond to get destroyed in the 50 to 80 years coming. All that because you people don't wanna stick to your gender roles and God's laws.

@@roxasdragnel2278 my comment never talked about single moms. Do you know there are single dads too. I was saying men should also be taking wife’s surnames . Everyone needs respect. Here when they are talking about “respect” , it’s obedience . No gender autonomy gives someone an authority over someone else. If you want that type of control relationship. Accept woman being head and a man subordinate partner too. You know what is wrong, morally is patriarchy. Patriarchal societies have crime, rape, homophobia, racism. Matriarch tend to be peaceful. Anything that is being taught men are superior and female is inferior is morally wrong. Both are born without any biases. Biases and sexism itself is made up of people. Also. Talking about single mom , automatically saying that a male is a head. You need to get rid of that notion.

@@marshmallowsmars Your comment talked about women being able to lead just like men and my comment about single moms showed you how statisticly women CANNOT lead like men. (I even talked about single dads but seems like you didn't even read my answer, you just felt attacked and wanted to answer as quickly as possible). To this day we don't have any tangible datas about the way a matriarchal society works so im rather curious on how you made the conlusion that they are more "peaceful" than patriarchy, please provide the link to your study (i would gladly send you the link to my studies if you wish too). Last but not least, i was born and raised in a very patriachal society and in a very patriacharl family and never was i taugh that my mother is less important than my father or that my father is superior than my mother. If anything it was actualy the opposite because in Islam mothers have a higher place then fathers when it comes to the responsibility towars the parents. So again, men and women have different roles in society and both complet each other but leading isn't and will never be a woman's role nor will a woman sucessful lead a country or a family. That a statistical fact. (I just remembered an article i've read about Queens that lead in England, and their time on the throne was one of the unpeaceful and blood driven gorvernance, do try again with your arguments about matriarchal being more "peaceful")
