You are amazing. I was sitting in my lecture for acid base balances and ABGs and I was totally confused... the only thing I kept thinking was, "I can't wait to go home and listen to Sarah explain it" because I just knew I'd comprehend your video with more ease. And I was right. Thank you so much
@RegisteredNurseRN8 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you so much, Beca :) You're so very kind! Acid base imbalances can be so confusing...so I'm very honored that you thought immediately about watching my videos to help explain the material to you! Wow, that is awesome! Thank you for your dedication to my channel...I appreciate it!

THANK YOU. I'm a 60 year old RN who needed to go back and review acidosis/alkalosis. Spent most of the afternoon puzzling over buffers and trying to decide whether or not to throw my laptop out the window. You were a total breath of relief and fresh air at the end of a very long, frustrating day. And congrats on the cutest baby in the world!

You truly are a God-send! My teacher simply reads her slides and doesn't provide an explanation. The concepts aren't overly complicated when you explain them and you relate them to "how will the patient look" when they present to a healthcare facility. I subscribed and will continue to use your videos for the remainder of my program. Thank you so much for providing some much needed clarity on difficult topics!

Thank You sooo much. Med student here, and this simple explanation is VERY useful!! Your hand motion of "increase", and "decrease" also helps it sink in. Hi Sarah, First I want to say that that thanks to you I FINALLY got the ABGs. However I took the Quiz Resp acidosis vs Resp alkalosis and I can't figure out question #6. HCO3 is 29, pH is 7.56 and HCO3 is 23. I would say it is Resp alk "compensated" because HCO3 is normal. However the correct answer in the test is "not compensated". Do you mind pls to help me understand where the values should fall in order to be "compensated" or "not compensated"? (I got the "partially compensated" idea) Thank you so very much!!
@cocapavel13638 жыл бұрын
Actually, the video for Metabolic Acidosis helped me understand the concept for "compensated" and "not compensated". What can I say other than thank you again.
