Hi Justin, I'm 85 yrs old, I read that, Jesus calling book a few years. It is really mystical. Incidentally I am a woman. All I can sat to this man who criticize the true Christians who are preaching the True Gospel. God is still in control. His judgement is true & final. All we can do is pray for all these unbelievers.

If you actually read Exodus instead of looking for verses to use against Christians who ironically were the abolitionists who freed the slaves in places like America and Britain you'd know the Bible says if you can someone by force and have them as a slave or sale them it says to put that person to death. It's clear that slavery in the Bible is a servitude you enter willingly. Wow, props to you Justin! I support your ministry, I was caught up in a cult-like Pentecostal church and after listening to your channel among others I managed to iron out the truth of Gods word. What you’re experiencing with this man is something I’ve been dealing with personally from some people from the Pentecostal crowd. Mixing fact and fiction, while omitting relevant information is a huge problem within discourse/debates. At times Brian makes good points, but then also misses them. Same with Justin. Justin points out (quite correctly) abuses within the charismatic camp. While Brian points out that there is no good scriptural case for Cessationism. In the end it isn't a 'who is right game' in terms of the persons involved. In the end it is about what the Truth and what is right.

Just no statement saying specifically, “and now the gifts of the apostles are ceased.” One example of Paul being able to heal the sick by sending them pieces of his clothing and later he isn’t able to heal Timothy who has taken ill. The order of the readings can be found in the back of some bibles, my king James has it but not sure if all translations do. Hope this helps.

someone gave me her book about 10 years ago. i read the first couple pages and saw there was something wrong with it... couldn't put my finger on what it was but just knew... it was full of emotional fluff too. bcs i hate to toss books in general, i do have this book still along with many other trash theology books sitting in a tote out in the garage. the tote and all materials inside are marked as why they are in the tote and are reserved for kindling in an emergency situation. each book is labeled just in case something happens to me before an emergency fire is needed, just so somebody else doesn't look at them and say oooh! i want to read this! at least these heretical books will have a good purpose.

The main thing about you Justin, is that you back up what you are saying with scriptures! That is so important for us as Christians to do in our everyday lives. The Bible is absolutely perfect. It's sad isn't it. Justin Peters Peters is an expert liar, He knows full well that he is lying though. He is clearly an intelligent man, which clarifies the fact that he is completely aware of the fact that he is lying, aswell as turning as many believers as possible away from having a loving connection/relationship with God. Alot of his followers would be aware of his true intentions. supporting him because they have the same evil desires. Unfortunately alot of his followers don't know his true intentions, they just tag along because he does know the scripture Verry well, and he makes his sound like Smart, like he has all the answers to be a true Christian. Him, John MacArthur, voddie baucham, Paul washer, that whole group have the same agenda. To get as many believers as possible to not experience the loving connection we can have with God, Jesus and the holy spirit. Sometimes I wonder if they aren't as evil as they seem to be, if they truly believe what they're saying and aren't purposesly stopping people connecting with God, then I remind myself of how smart they truely are and how similar they're videos and opinions are, and how they have so much respect for each other. Theirs no way a true Christian, with that much intelligence could have these views on what Christianity really is unless they have other motives, which they do 100%. I believe they are freemasons. Whatever they are they are Not real Christians and they are out to turn the journey of Christianity as miserable as possible for as many believers as they can. I'm a 66 yo woman from TN, and support you 100 percent. I've heard you say many, many times to pray for the false teachers. My son got really sick and died a couple of year's ago, but during his illness, I prayed and listened to anything that had Christian in it. I started being burdened by the holy spirit to be aware of false teachers. I was amazed when he opened my eyes and showed me how wrong I was by doing this. When my son, I was ask so many times, are you not mad at God or do you think it's because you didn't believe enough. I can tell you this, not once did either of those questions come to me. I loved God for saving my son, I know where he is, and I love God for such wonderful parents, that raised me in a Christian home. This is what brings me peace. There was a time I used to listen to him. All I had in me was a bad heart full of hatred for calvinists. Then I listened to Dr. Leighton Flower, whom I agree with, and Mr. Cory Minor of Smart Christian channel. I began to check myself, to which I found my heart was so full of hate. I worked at Hobby Lobby briefly a few years ago and I saw the book Jesus Calling on the shelves and quite a few going through my check out line. I was wondering about the book and even considered buying a copy but for some reason I never did. I thank God for that. I had a copy of The Purpose Driven Life about 15 years ago. I don’t remember reading it but, luckily, I saw a video about Rick Warren being a false teacher. Needless to say I threw that book in the trash.

As a charismatic, I just want to say that it displeases me to see people go after Justin Peters in this manner. Despite obvious disagreements, God used Bro. Peters’ ministry to inform me of the dangers of deception in the Christian world today, and to be extremely watchful for it. I was introduced to this ministry nearly a year and a half into my walk with Jesus Christ. It was like finding a spiritual oasis. And on a second note, I also want to express my gratitude to the entire reformed/calvinist community. There is such an appreciation for the scriptures that you rarely see anywhere else in the world today. It’s been a great example to me and other charismatics I personally know.

Growing up I was Southern Baptist. Believed in Free Will. Argued with Calvinists in my walk with Christ as a young adult. But, I wasn't reading my Bible regularly and I was very hypocritical in how I lived. God granted repentance and make a huge change in me and I started reading the scriptures daily. Over a period on 2 - 3 years, I started seeing that what I was hearing in the pulpit and what I was reading in the Bible didn't match up. Eventually, I came to realize that what I was reading is what we would call the doctrines of Grace. I decided to read through 1 & 2 Peter in one sitting and it all came together, clear as day. I came to realize saving faith is a sovereign work of God alone. I have grown a lot since those days and the sweet truth of election means more now than even back then. Its definitely true that being a Calvinist is like committing the unpardonable sin in the church. I used to be very defensive and argumentative about it, but I've learned to mellow out and have more calm discussions. I've found that when I start showing all the many scriptures that show God's sovereignty in salvation, that people at least begin considering it.

Very well said and reminds me of how my switch occurred. Grew up in fundamental southern Baptist church and was taught free will, saw alter calls my whole life. Then I heard the doctrines of grace and it kinda freaked me out. But sure enough after finally reading the entire Bible for my self came to realize the calvinist view is the true gospel explanation.

I listened to MacArthur's first ever sermon preached at Grace Community Church on February 9 1969. He was 29 the age I am now. It was titled "How to Play Church". He very much still sounds the same, and his preaching has not changed and if it has it's for the better. Most pastors cannot say they pastored or have pastored the same Church for 54 years. He's definitely in the less than 1% camp. I have greatly listened to so many more old sermons of his on the GTY app. Times have changed but the gospel has not

I just discovered your channel today. I never heard of this Brian guy but from his clips, he just seems like another end time false teachers the Bible consistently warns us about. I graduated from Liberty University (w/ BS Psych & AA Religion) and am a member of the Assembly of God Church in a tiny town in Ark. Some at church, lovingly refer to me as a Bapicostal. I believe in Gifts of the Spirit but think the flashy ones are the exception, not the rule and I’ve never known of anyone since the Apostles w/ the gift of Healing. Just like the Church at Corinth, believers can get carried away in the flesh. Pre-pandemic, I often went to other churches having a Revival on nights we didn’t have church. The First Baptist Church had brought in a wonderful preacher for their Revival. I brought some kids, & a friend I knew that didn’t attend church, with me on the nights I went. Some made alter calls but my friend got saved & it changed her life. Idk if the Church was revived or not tho, as the preacher told me afterward; “this church doesn’t need a revival, it needs a resurrection”. I’m not saying the people there were not saved, only that they didn’t seem very happy about it. Name it & claim it, health & prosperity doctrines are not scriptural & are dangerous as a Once Saved Always Saved idea that a prayers said years ago at a tent revival long forgotten will get you in Heaven. But…. if you’re really saved….👍🏻JMO We live in a glorious but spooky time for sure.

Someone asked him if taking the mark of the beast during the tribulation would be an unpardonable sin. He gave an answer that was biblical and technical. Jesus said all sin is forgivable except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. MacArthur was later accused of heresy so he wrote an article elaborating on what he meant and explained everything. It's only an issue in the minds of people who have not understood what he was saying or why he was saying it. Just read the article on gty.

Justin I have watched many of your videos and agree with you on many points. We are to go to His Word in everything. My pastor tells us to always go behind him and study His Word. I especially agree with you about all these false teachers/prophets... they ARE LOST. They need to be delivered from their sin. They need to repent. When I was baptized with the Holy Spirit I received the gift of tongues 50 yrs ago...I was 24yo. It's a prayer tongue so far and idk what Father God has for me in the future. Believe me in this that I had no idea that I was going to baptized in that way...it was wonderful! He has given me the power to live for Him and to grow exponentially in sanctification and restoration. I don't adhere to calvanism but I don't think either that they don't belong to God just bc of theological differences as long as they aren't heretical. God knows how to have ears and eyes opened if they're in error. So, Justin, if ever you're in error I'm sure yk that Father God will open yours if you're wanting clarification on anything. We clearly see the Holy Spirit works in your life. I'm not saying it in a charismatic way but truly you got discernment and you're not afraid of standing for the truth/logic no matter the possible slander you might get. As a very emotional person by nature, i was someone who got trapped in a very charismatic pentecostal church, was abused emotionally and finantially. So i thank God for your life and teaching, cause you're among the people who opened my eyes, led me to leave this church and pursue truth not through emotional experience and all these sorts of insanity, but directly through the word of God. Also i was so pleased to see the Lord led you to preach in my country (Madagascar) tho i hadn't yet the honor to see you preach in real life but hope someday i will. God bless

Have watched a few of Brian's criticisms of you, Justin, and of others and I always come away with the impression he is disingenuous, almost as though he's playing some type of baiting game, laughing at the possibility he can distract from the gospel message, destroy the character of his subject, or sow doubt in the hearts of people who are not strong in their faith. In my opinion, he's a deceiver and not to be trusted. May the Lord preserve and protect you and others whom he would attempt to tear down.

Hello Justin, I just watched this video for the first time today and although I’m not a Calvinist but a Lutheran (the Chris Rosebrough type 😆), if there’s anything to say about you is that you are one of the kindest but boldest speakers of truth of the gospel and critic of false teachers that I have ever encountered. You ALWAYS show substantial evidence of your argument and never attack or mock anyone on any level. That speaks leaps and bounds of this joker that you spoke of in this specific video. I love your channel, and thanks to ministries like yours and Fighting For The Faith, God saved me from WOF/NAR teachings and I see fully the true message of the gospel!

I read Jesus Calling, it was beautifully written, but I knew something was off as there were a lot of emotions conveyed. I've learned that our emotions can be deceiving. Any Christian that speaks off of feelings is a red flag. Thanks to solid Bible teachers, I toss that book out, along with a lot of "Christian" books I had. I stick with John MacArthur and the teachers in history like Spurgeon. I've learned that there are too many false teachers and those in sheep clothing. Be discerning, folks. Merry Christmas!
