Stephen A. been covering the league since I was a kid and I’m 41 now. I remember before high speed internet, 24/7 news, and when there was only one ESPN channel, there was this loud talking dude from the Philadelphia newspaper who would pop up on weekly 30 minute NBA television shows to share inside info with the fans. He was there then and he’s still here now after many others have long since came and went. Props to you Steven A. for carving out a small niche back in the day, that with your work ethic you, yourself have turned into a major media figure with a huge platform.

You know what kills me? people expect everyone to just fall in line with what is I guess is "street code" when neither Jackson nor Stephen A. are in the streets anymore....ya'll both have made MILLONS of dollars. You're both two examples of black excellence and for whatever reason both of you are over the age of 45 and worried about who's a snitch and who isn't.......as a viewer I actually find this to be childish. It's appalling to me however that some people expect others to abide by "street code" 24/7 365 when "street code" isn't what keeps the lights on at home or pays the bills....remember the streets will never love you as much as those kids and your family do.
@soxgangАй бұрын
This is a ridiculous statement because it ain't got nothing to do with "street code." When we were kids adults and teachers used to say all of the time "nobody likes a tattletale." Do whistleblowers get love? How about police or politicians who tell the public about what goes on behind closed doors are they embraced for doing so? No, they're not, so stop making it seem like the black community is the only one that's anti snitch because the WHOLE WORLD hates someone who they think is telling on them

I remember him LOOKING like a 20-something young, chubby, & eloquent speaking dude with some of the same tenacity he has today. Honestly, I don't understand why people would even hate on #StephenA. I mean, what makes him different from anyone else to _hate on_ that speaks their opinion except that he's more open-minded in my opinion or fair-minded, unbiased, has a high degree of integrity and speaks his mind without the *ANNOYING* sugar coating of most media. I guess being unfiltered with a no-nonsense approach gets to the people of this "soft" generation that enjoy an unnecessary amount of censorship, double standards or even excuses! Not to mention that they waste a lot of time and energy in trying to find faults in a character like that.
