This is the correct understanding of those verses that a general application of meaning should not be made specific to narrow down the meaning which is not required by Allah as the will of Allah is expressed by the words He has chosen for His speech.Ghamidi sahib has very clearly and expressively thrown light upon those verses of Quran.

Agree with sir Ghamidi. What I think is we are souls we are not a stone or non living stuff we are created by Allah we are not like animals to eat raw n sleep in dens. We are humans with brain heart soul n aesthetic sense. We create diff words n diff languages we create diff styles of homes inter decors, design clothes, write poetry sing paint sketch do research education n so … humans are one of great creations of Allah. How these so called scholars with little knowledge interpreted book of Allah wrong? N still doing n making ppl more confuse n ignorant. Although respected Ghamidi saheb is undoubtedly an ocean of knowledge and research and most of the time makes sense but with due respect, I would like to correct or seek correction of the word "Phislana" he used repeatedly in the early part of discussion. Explaining the translation and interpretation of "Tabri" on Surah Bani Israel, Aayat Sixty Four, Ghamdi saheb repeatedly pronounced the word "Phislana" which should be "Phuslana' in my opinion and as per Urdu dictionary. The word "Phislana" is not a proper word and rarely used in the meaning of phisalwana, slip ho jana, phislan, lurhakna, rapatna etc, which gives a different meaning than the word"Phuslana". The word "Phuslana" is used as Behlana, Raghib kerna, Dhoka daina etc. So, in my opinion and as per Urdu dictionary the word 'Phuslaana" should have been used by Ustaad-e-Muhtaram, especially when it comes to explaining the translation/interpretation of "Tabri" in this context. Also there is a little contradiction in between Ghamidi Saheb and Azeezam Hassan Ilyas in this video when using/pronouncing these two words for the same context. Please re-listen to the early part of this video. I think Hassan Ilyas has pronounced it right, that is: "Phuslana" which makes more sense and close to the meaning of the Aayat they are discussing. Besides, I will humbly request Ghamidi saheb to pay more attention and high light the bad influences and effects of vulgar singing, music which is attached with vulgar dancing these days on our society in general and on our youth in particular. I do not think going that philosophic and deep into it to prove that today's music and singing is a Naimat (blessings) to make certain type of Muslim followers and others happy is a solution to truly explain the meaning of the words "Lahv and Laghv". We can interpret these words as per our needs, wants and agenda but any activity which not only takes people away from praying and following God's commandments and leads to vulgarity and destruction of a society is nothing but choosing to high light what suits to our version of propagation. It is misinterpretation of Islamic teachings and Sunnat-e-Nabavi (saw) in my opinion. Let us follow the real spirit and gist of Islamic teachings which certainly prohibit Muslims from all evil acts and practices. Of course "Khush-alhaani" is a naimat when used in reciting Quran with tarteel and hamd-o-sana but when the same singing, music and dancing becomes the source of adopting vulgar culture of others, bidats, shirk, and doing crimes on mazaaras while intoxicated in the name of sufism and sufiana kalam, and also stops and distracts Muslims from Zikr-eIlahi (prayers) and following the commandments of Allah, then it is not at all a Naimat but giving bad and wrong meaning to Islam and its teachings.

However, I wish you were able and willing to understand the gist of my point of view with respect and open mind instead of proving that you are no better than "mein na maanoo" kath mullahs. That is what liberals do too all the time. They have their own needs and agenda to insert in the religion of Islam. That is why you seem not capable of academic discussions based on respecting each others views with logic and reasoning and in the light of Quranic teachings and the philosophy of Islamic principles. To understand another's point of view is sure proof of one's open mind. I wonder is it you who are burning against my right of opinion or you are being asked to condemn me in order to shut me up. If it is the case, you are simply wrong and live in fools paradise because you can't stop me with non senses and who does not know what some devoted liberals in Muslim ranks are up to and committed to use and pressure moderate scholars like Ghamidi saheb in order to invent a new version of Islam based on their needs, wants and the agenda of their liberal masters.

Enjoyments lie in the simplest of human affairs but if mortal pleasures exceed beyond hedonism and the boundaries of the most wise it disqualifies obedience unto God. The Qur'an draws our attention to how we are supposed to enter into Islam fully and completely. In Sihr magick or evil sorcery, the demonologist invokes Shayateen min al Jin with music which serves as an impotence for the operations to be successful. Demons like offerings such as sacrifice, incense, music, blood and human feces among others. So by comparing and contrasting the right and left hand paths, one draws understandings and clarity of the straight path.

i m not a big fan of music, dont listen to it nymore. But as being interested in religious issues , i have some thoughts to share..... Agr AWAZ ko Music k matlab main liya jaye jab ALLAH nay kaha IBLEES se k TU APNI AWAZ ( MUSIC ) se distract kr lay, tou question yeh hai k kia US WAQT ( paidaish e aadam/ insaan) SE PEHLAY HI IBLEES MUSIC Invent kr chuka tha? ROUTINE main iblees and other jinns MUSIC se dosre jinnaat ko PHUSLATAY thay? insan to us waqt tha nahi, Agr yeh aam raij ul waqt cheez thi to ALLAH nay kabhi usko mana hi nahi kiya, na hi kabhi kahin par iska zikr huwa, dozens of times qissa adam and iblees aya hai, btaya hi nahi k IBLEES used to a MUSICIAN also n yet he was close to ALLAH and other angels. and yet not declared as MARDOOD, REJECTED and TRANSGRESSER.
