Push is also flooded all over reverb. They don’t keep those controllers too long

True. I have seen a lot of the Push 2 trying to be sold on reverb. I haven’t seen any of the Push 3 yet, but they’ll be there soon after the hype dies down.

Props to you man . The workflow actually does kind of make more sense in a linear way compared to mpc . Can I ask you , for the basic functions , how long does it take to learn enough for cycling and sequencing the beat pattern into a full song with change ups . Also , can you work in real time mode also , or just step . much respect . Don .

Hello Dj Don. I can play in real time but I do the step because I have neck issues that affect the feeling in my hands and fingers. So whenever it’s really bad, I step; whenever I can feel more in my fingers, I play. The bpm is set for the project, so to make it feel like things are moving faster and/or slower, I make the pattern longer or shorter. The learning curve is based on how you retain the function of the force. I watched the playlist of the Ableton Push 2 and read the manual to get the force down.

Insightful video. I saw what you did when you made that beat. But being a MPC user, I’d rather do it the way I’m used to. You’re right, 16 pads vs 64 is a paradigm shift. It’s perfect for your workflow or it isn’t. You make the Force glide through the task like it isn’t a thing. Much respect.

Yes, it’s a major difference between 16 pads Vs 64 pads. I started making songs on GarageBand app on my iPhone. I like making patterns in the “cells”(which is the clips on the force, Ableton, bitwig). It took me a while to get the Mpc workflow, but I can still get busy on it. The clip workflow just seems more efficient to how my mind works and how I can get them down. I also been working with the Akai Force for over two years now, so I can make a loop really faster than when I first started. 👨🏽🦱🙏🏽

I don't need a lot to make music. The Force has made me more focused on composing and not on whether it can make coffee too. Oh and wait until people start tapping in to the performance possibilities of the Force remember they made to be an instrument too.

Yes, the Akai Force is a lot. I do enjoy composing on it and yes it’s an instrument. I’m still learning about all the features, trying out the different workflows, etc. if it could make coffee ☕️, then I’m in heaven! 😂

do you think akai will link the force with the MPC software 3.0? to compete with that Ableton & push 3 workflow?
@mikevenus4117 Жыл бұрын
I don’t know, but I did read in the Akai Force manual that in future update that the force could work with daws, but I don’t know which one. Ableton software is way better than Akai, and the push is made really only for Ableton, so they got Akai on that. I don’t like the Akai software and I have it but it not as refined as Ableton.

got the push 2 for the studio few years back and see no need to upgrade to push 3 quite yet because it never leaves my studio anyways. MPE would be nice but is it worth the 1,000 or $2,000 upgrade? already spent mad money on ableton 10 suite then will spend more to upgrade to live 11. live 11 should be included in the standalone version at least..smh
@mikevenus4117 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I feel you on that. $3,000 is roughly around a new Ableton user (push 3, suite version, & sound packs) would have to spend if they want the full package.
