The British tried to convert people back during colonialism, but it wasn't popular with people resisting more than converting. So they created the SGPC in 1925 to alter Sikhism from its roots of Sanatan Dharma aka commonly called Hinduism. They Christianized sikhism introducing their own concepts of no idol worship, no devi devta worship, becoming strictly monotheistic limiting God's capability to express itself in any form, misinterpreted Ik Onkar calling it God is One when it goes much deeper than that, Completely misunderstanding the mool mantar with incomplete and faulty translations carried out by imperialistic powers to divide the population and render people ineffective and a divided mass. They are just coming back around to finish the job, 99% sikhs are already "half-converted" anyway given their disdain to their actual roots.

​@Taranpreet Singh idols stones demi gods etc were mostly from the Christian influences implemented by the sgpc on behalf of the british when outright conversion to Christianity was not possible. Even though Christianity also has devtas ie angels but are not mainstream in popular Christianity. They have their own version of God's basic 3 forms which run the universe, which is explained in Ik Onkar a variation of Omkara or Onkara. These are the 3 arch angels Michael, raphel, and Gabriel. Vishnu brahma Shiva but in the form of the western races. Jesus was the chosen messiah for the western races and betrayed by his own kind for materialistic reasons. Jesus aka Yeshua is the descendant of the ancient King David and King Solomon, the line of David was chosen to birth the Messiah whom we call Isah Messiah. We perform idol worship with Guru Granth Sahib all the time, we have AC rooms as though the Guru is living, we do chaur over the Guru Granth Sahib, and we do bhog or give food to Guru Sahib. These are all the basics of idol worship, in fact we don't treat the Guru for the actual purpose of being a Granth, which means our people should be reading and understanding the Guru more but instead the vast majority does idol worship part much more. People are so brainwashed they are doing what they say they are not suppose to do. Even Christianity has been changed due to it being streamlined for mass conversions which began with Europeans kings implementing it on their subjects. The reason why they say the Vedas don't know God is because they are using something great to show how great God is by making the great thing seem small. The Vedas, Gita, Guru Granth Sahib, Ramayana, Purana are all the exploits of God, but they record only a particular picture of God who is ever evolving and creating brand new experiences and universes as we speak, as I write this God has just created billion universes somewhere and destroyed a billion others, no texts can capture all that so they give us an idea of what is going on to start us on the path. Basically it's not to demean the vedas, our Gurus or saints were not egotistical peoples, they are trying to express how limitless and infinite God is by using an already great work of literature. You should do Nam simran especially at amrit vela. Forgive me if I offended you, I used to think just like you until I realized I should read everything and get a better picture.

@@XAE_A_Xii as a Sikh Man who was born and raised in the US i have to say you Christians have what you call a lot of "non-believers" that spew hate rhetoric. I wasn't a hardcore Sikh in the sense I didn't have a turban, but I faced a lot of Christian Zealots growing up in the South who didn't like me simply because I was non-white, and I wasn't a Christian. I have heard it too many times in my life those Christians I dealt with is not a representation of Christianity, but my problem is they are far too many of them and they have the largest voice and influence especially in the Southern region of America.

My Sikh brothers and sisters, you have a beautiful concept of faith and i respect that as a Christian, i have been to gurudwaras , had langar and i am trying to learn more about the sikh faith. Likewise i recommend you understand about what christ taught and adopt the goods from our faith. For close to three decades, I have had Christians and even Muslims try to convert me. Some tried to scare me (theologically through 'damnation and hell' rubbish). Some trying to debunk my belief. Some even claiming Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a Muslim or a Christian Baba. I am over Christians/Muslims (missionaries) trying to convert people of the Dharma religions. Sikhs today need to remember the Singh Sabha Movement and the spirit. Rabbi Tovia Singer has spent his life fighting against Christian Missionaries trying to convert the Jewish through lies and corruption of translation of the Jewish bible. He is a brilliant safeguard of the Jewish faith against missionaries. This isn't about being anti-Christian, it's about safe guardian against toxic agenda to kill Sikhi and any faith that doesn't comply to their religious views. We're ek. We're all human beings first. Our religious belief is our own.

If you respect every faith The you should also be aware that BIBLE commands us to preach the Name of Christ. Yes BIBLE teaches only JESUS CHRIST is the one true GOD. Repost: Every religion preaches and spreads the messages and teachings of their faith and are free to do so. However, there's a distinct difference between preaching and targeted conversions through misinformation and deceit, which Christians have frequently done with Sikhs Parchaar (propagation of the faith) is also a key aspect in Sikhi. Guru Nanak travelled on foot (believed to have covered more than 28,000km in distance) on five major udasis (journeys/tours) of the world during the period from 1500 to 1524 - spreading the truth of the Naam of Akaal Purakh Vaheguru (The Immortal One, the Wondrous Enlightener). With the desire to protect all and serve all. Not by discriminately targeting certain communities and forcibly converting them through deceit.

Sikhism is divided between 2 main sects one is Naamdhaari and other is Tatth-Khalsa. The main conversion is from Tatth-Khalsa a model sect which was formed under British colonial era formed after the islamic model this is why you find the follower of Tatth-Khalsa very extreme. Christians know how to deal with Islam as Christianity is very close to islam in belief system and Tatth-Khalsa are merely some people who adopt Muslim ideas. Islam is also shrinking in middle east from where it was actually formed and this affect Sikhs as well.

@@sukd2669 They shouldn't be telling people that they won't suffer, because our scripture, and tradition says that if someone truly follows Christ they will probably suffer more, also it is a jerk move to offer to fund education with the catch of spreading their faith, however with all that said I only addressed what was shown in the video wich didn't describe any of that, and on the part about aggressive preaching if you mean they put a lot of time and effort into preaching I don't see a problem, but if you mean they slander, demean, lie, or manipulate using valuable resources then yes that is an issue, and they shouldn't do that because Christ wouldn't.

@@turtletoons1016 HI, i gave additional information towards what this video is implying based on preachers, so i expanded the argument. When i mean aggressively, we have had christian preachers put fliers on car windscreens while they are parked in the Gurdwara, which is very aggressive and also disrespectful. Having little respect for people outside the faith is also where christianity is lacking. I have met preachers, who present as very calm and tranquil only to explode on the most benign things which shows the person was acting.

There is something that is perfectly ok with this. If a Christian wants to spread their Gospel among a Sikh crowd, he / she is free to do so - in the same way that if a Sikh wanted to spread their message to a crowd of a different faith (think about all the standing lectures Jagraj Singh did in Speakers Corner in London), that would also be permitted. The reason why it may be considered disrespectful is perhaps Sikhi believes it cannot hold its own against the members of other faiths. I, myself, am not Christian, however, I support the right of members of any faith to preach their faith (yes, even with the intent to convert so long as there is no forced conversion taking place).

With respect, I do not understand this post? I wouldn’t mind if someone tried to convert me to any religion. If they believe they were right, I think it would make sense for them to try to convince others. Especially if they believe it matters for eternity. Again, with respect, I don’t understand why this is so bad. Now if their strategy was to forcefully capture people and brainwash them; I am totally on the side of that’s completely wrong. But if the strategy is go to a certain area and have faith conversations with others, again I just don’t see how that’s wrong. This is mythology: there are examples of resurrecting Gods before jesus such as Asclepius or Osiris, Richard Carrier provides quotes regarding these Resurrecting Gods that exist before Jesus. One true thing brother, Pastors are not converting people, God himself is converting People. Pastors are just giving words of Bible and Teachings of Jesus which is full of love and repentance spirit. So people feel so much love from Jesus a living God & People are getting peace and clean hearted life after repentance of Sins. No outer appereance needed, just inner heart must be cleaned and Sins must be forgive by God. So Jesus is saviour is world. If you want to know how truth, Go and read bible with your full spirit, Ask God , then God himself will answer you reality.

You're missing the point of WHY Christians want to convert people of other faiths. It is not a malicious scheme but a love for others. Not wanting to see any perish. The quote that you had Jesus say is misleading. Jesus never said that. It was only from a vision that one person had. It doesn't align with Jesus' actual teachings which were well documented in the gospels.
