Huge difference between a yes man and someone who just 100% agrees with what you’re saying. A yes man is someone who encourages bad behaviour or applauds decisions wether good or bad just because they feel their relationship with that person is more beneficial to them than being honest with said person. @@dscvered what I mean is that he's just constantly confirming and backing up what Oda is saying which can lead to believing you're right when you may not be. Like I said, it's not going to happen again but the best way to handle these situations is 1 on 1 because both sides will listen much more clearly. Having a 2 on 1 is also bad for the 1 because they can be bombarded with questions causing them to choke and never make a clear point. You hear that a lot in the call because Pip is constantly stuttering. He feels outnumbered. Not good for a discussion. Then ending the call with both of them backhandedly insulting also made me lol a little because you can tell they were malding so hard that they would have never listened to what Pip said anyways. That's probably a result of ganging up on someone and feeling tough because of it.

Fact of the matter is big streamers got the ego that anyone who uses them in their videos it’s directly attacking them. Reality is Oda has been the face of the gambling scene in osrs, though he isn’t one of the dirty scammers, he is still like the king of gambling. Using him as a example of how gambling is being done now is really the only way to get them to see this is no different that what was going on with the duel arena and 1000s of dollars will be scammed through community chucks through the dirty streamers

While you are correct there, community chucking is still very much borderline gambling because Oda gives the GP back, and people are doing it with the intent to get more back than their initial investment. Community chucking is the equivalent of betting $5 on a sporting event with a friend or family member. It may be harmless, but it's still gambling. Whether Jagex takes action or not is entirely up to them. I'm personally not against it, as I do enjoy watching Oda's reactions and would not have returned to watching RS videos without it, but I won't deny what it is.

It’s a grey area as I see it, commission and tips are 2 completly different things, as a commission is a pre determined % agreement, so there for it would have to be a set amount of your win say 5-10% to be considered commissions and that being in the terms of the service before going ahead with it, where as a tip is optional, and jagex could never make that banable as far as I see it because they would also have to make giving your friends gp to help them out aswell, basically reintroducing no free trade era to circumvent it

Honestly I can see both sides of the argument, for the purposes of the commission staking rule, tips vs. commission is VERY similar in the end result, the end result is the staker is taking a cut from the money he won the viewer. It is hypothetically very easy to skew commission staking into looking like community staking with tips, it's a roundabout method of doing effectively the same thing.

There’s arguments for and against but the fact that they removed the duel arena shows that this whole staking scene is getting nulled. It causes far more damage (people quitting the game) than the good it brings (twitch entertainment). Oda hasn’t done anything wrong he’s within the current rule set but Jagex will probably stop it

Oda is being sensitive. Pip was just bringing awareness to it. He used Oda clips because he’s the biggest streamer and it may encourage or give other people ideas to scheme or scam. Another problem with Oda is that if he says the content should be bannable by jagex but doesn't make the decision to omit it from his stream on a personal level. I think what Pip is saying is that gambling is bad, it has been actively removed from the game by Jagex, and community staking allows tons of people to break the rule of "no gambling" and streamers are the ones responsible for that. I also think gambling is bad, it ruins lives, but at the same time, this is a point-and-click medieval game from 1999 and I don't think the scale of the issue is that important.
