I half agree, half dont. Oda wasnt really going that hard until Beard was absolutely refusing to tank. I think its pretty clear Beard just doesnt want to risk being the guy to lose a life on stream. He is making it a way bigger deal than it is when he could just try to tank and if he fails whats the big deal? Oda himself clearly doesnt care if Beard dies tanking or he wouldnt be pushing the subject so hard. I dont think he is a bitch because he cant take the banter. I think hes a bitch because he is being handed an opportunity 1000s of people would consider a dream and he isnt even willing to give it a chance when he knows losing a life is essentially a non issue. If the group cared then they wouldnt be encouraging him to try it. Just go in there with a positive attitude and have fun while learning in the process. The possibility of dieing is part of the excitement not just for him and the group but for the viewers. Worst case scenario you make "good" content and have fun. Best case scenario you make "great" content and have a lot of fun. Its just a game and hes treating it like it will be the end of the world if he fails. Given a once in a lifetime opportunity just by being on the team. Boosting his own career in the process. The least he could do is swallow his pride, take the risk, and enjoy it. What did Beard even think was gonna happen when he joined into a group ironman team with Odablock, obviously hes going to be expected to do bossing and raids. Either come to terms with that and enjoy the learning process or dont join the group. Did he think Oda would just want to skill or leave out a part of the group from the main content? Sometimes it feels like he just wanted the career boost and thought he could trade for it by doing nothing but skilling and other shit grinds for the group while they actually make the content. Some people cant take any flame, some can take infinite flame, most are somewhere in between. I think Oda sometimes losses sight of that and goes too hard. Even if you think he is a punk for not being able to take the flame sometimes you gotta dial it back so you dont make the entire experience weird for everyone.

What content did he expect to be making in Odablocks group ironman? 5 man magic tree cutting? The boys are giving him a free pass to die obviously because they are begging him to learn to tank. Its not that they need a tank its about having a group member learn to do something they are uncomfortable with and take the risk because thats entertaining content which is the entire point. You cant treat it like they are just some guys playing the game normal. Make no mistake this is mortgage payments and baby money. He is given an opportunity 1000s consider a dream and its boosting his personal career. But he doesnt want to step up to the plate and would rather sit on the bench polishing the bats and handing out water while reaping the same rewards. Not wanting to die is a trash excuse because the rest of the team are making the bossing content (the main content of group ironman series) and taking the risk when he refuses too. Going outside his comfort areas and learning new things is whats expected of him here and that isnt an unreasonable ask consider how much he is benefiting from the rare once in a lifetime opportunity. Oda didnt even roast him that bad until long into Beards refusal to try tanking. Did he go to hard? maybe but I think not wanting to be a team player is just as much a slap in the face as some banter. Again, these guys might have fun playing this but there is a reason they are all streaming and recording. This is a joint business venture, fun is just an expected addition to completing the job at hand. He should swallow his pride and contribute as much as he can.

I like oda as much as any other viewer but the flame was a bit hot there. Oda seems to not be able to sense when his flaming is actually bothering someone or becoming obnoxious. There has been several other times I can tell everyone is feeling a bit awk cause he went too far for too long.

oda is right if you got 4 people at bandos 2 with bowfa, crystal shield stops mattering that much, but if it was just 2 people then yea the shield would matter, put the 83 def with crystal shield but not having people use bowfa is an absolute waste, he has no clue how much dps bowfa is because beardie is a noob.
