Responsible Body Armor Possession Act is BS and a waste of taxpayer money

H.R.378 - Responsible Body Armor Possession Act introduced by Rep. Honda, Michael M. [D-CA-17] is yet another infringement on your rights, a waste of your money, another feel good joke of a law and you should be pissed that your reps are doing things like this instead of actually working.

I came across the border last year with my ceramic plates and the plate carrier in the trunk of my car and the US customs had a friggen panic attack. They told me that I had to fill out paperwork and declare my government surplus plates on my way into mexico and that there is really no reason for me to own body armor. I told them I am an EMT and I volunteer with the red cross in mexico and in my town and sometimes there are instances that we could use extra protection.

Hello, I'm a new viewer and just found you today. Liked your content and subscribed. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos and new ones that come out. One of the big points that you touched on that people jump on is the saying "Oh well criminals use that so we should regulate it." I have heard a lot of people try to use this argument saying that a criminal will wear body armor and in a violent crime or shooting it makes them harder to stop. The thing that they seem not to understand is that a criminal has already made the decision to break the law. Body armor being illegal isn't going to stop them. People with this mindset drive me nuts. It's kinda like the no firearms allowed signs. I can see if you just don't want guns in your store. This is America land of the free but don't tell me that you don't want guns in your store so that you don't get robbed lol. Those signs are like locks they are just to keep honest men honest and a criminal will pay no attention to them at all. If I owned a store and someone pulled a gun I want the guy or two behind him to be a law abiding CCW holder :)

When do us american decide the government is infringing on our right? when do we do something about it rather than complain. at this point in the game its not the people making these laws. Its cooperation . when do we consider our government tyrannical. we have the rights to defend our country with the same weapons as the government against the government.

I don't understand why you're so upset. No one needs body armor and as far as the armor piercing ammo (M855,SS109) once it's gone, oh by the way, that's just the start of the ammo bans eventually we will not even allow BB's, someone could shoot their eye out. Also body armor would be unfair to own because some people can not afford it, myself included right now. And once all the ammo is gone you won't need those guns because you won't have anything to shoot them. But now as far as those evil Silencers or so-called sound suppressors as you like to call them, they will still be available for a small tax of $200.00 per unit oh and short barrels for your rifles that you can't shoot we will still allow you to buy them,just the barrels mind you, but of course there will be a $200 tax fee on those also, feel free to buy all you like especially after the ammo and guns are gone. And don't worry the Government will take care of you and you can all sit around singing "kumbaya".
